"Woah, I'm starving," I half muttered as I strolled into the kitchen with my hand over mouth suppressing a yawn.

I paused in my tracks as my gaze landed on Celeste's form by the counter, staring me dead in the eye.

Our eye contact lingered, seeming excruciatingly long, then she broke the intense gaze, leaving me with more guilt than before.

"Celeste," I reached out and grabbed her by the arm. Her head snapped back to my form, her eyes holding an unreadable expression.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been rude to you, I was pissed about everything and I couldn't control how mad I was," I rushed out, keeping my gaze squarely on her face but she didn't hold mine.

"Celeste?" I called out softly, hoping she would let go of whatever grudge she must have against me.

She sighed, her eyes finally landing on mine. "I'm not mad at you, Elowen." She finally breathed out, turning to look me in the eyes.

"The person I'm mad at is myself." She took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.
