Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: A Clash Between Sisters

Seeing Eugene Harper's tall and slender figure leave, Camille Hansom could no longer hold back the smile on her face. Her expression turned dark as she suddenly raised her hand, about to slap Anastasia Hansom across the face.

But Anastasia Hansom was no longer the same person who used to endure all kinds of labor, abuse, and insults in the Su family.

With quick reflexes, she seized Camille Hansom's wrist and then gave it a hard pinch at the numbing point.

Camille Hansom felt her entire arm go numb instantly and couldn't help but curse, "Anastasia Hansom, you bitch, what did you do to me?"

Anastasia Hansom remained calm, straightening her clothes and said coolly, "If you dare to lay a hand on me again, it won't just be your arm that goes numb."

"Fine, you bitch, have you grown some backbone after being away for a few years?" Camille Hansom trembled with rage.

Anastasia Hansom replied composedly, "Of course, who else but Miss Su could grow up only in temper, without gaining any real skills?"

Camille Hansom had no patience for more banter. She bared her teeth and snarled, "Anastasia Hansom, I'm warning you, Siyan is mine, I am his fiancée. If you dare to seduce my fiancé, watch out for your daughter's life!"

Anastasia Hansom sneered, her voice cold, "Is that so? But from what I see, your position in the Qin family isn't very stable. The Qin family has some reservations about my daughter. If anything happens to her, they might not want you anymore!"

These words hit Camille Hansom's sore spot!

Her face flushed red, turning purple and blue, and she gritted her teeth, "If I can't have him, no one else will! Just watch and see if I dare!"

A layer of ice seemed to cover Anastasia Hansom's face, "Camille Hansom, I advise you not to lose your mind. Otherwise, I'll make you experience what it means to wish you were dead."

Camille Hansom looked at the woman in front of her in disbelief, unable to accept that the once timid and fearful woman had suddenly become so formidable.

She refused to believe it, "Anastasia Hansom, you filthy spawn, just like your rapist father and your early deceased mother, what can you do besides being a waste? You dare to threaten me!"

"We shall see," Anastasia Hansom's expression grew even colder, giving her an extremely indifferent smile before leaving the restroom with graceful steps.

Camille Hansom's breathing became heavy with anger. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She pulled out her phone and called her mother.

"Mom! I ran into that bitch Anastasia Hansom again at the Han family banquet! She even said she wants to take Siyan from me! What should I do?"

Her mother's tone was much calmer, "It's just a worthless piece, what are you afraid of? Who would believe her? Wait for me, I'll be right there."

After leaving the restroom, Anastasia Hansom made her way to the banquet hall.

Bevis Benedict had been formally introduced by his father and was now giving a speech on stage.

Anastasia Hansom casually picked up a cocktail and ate two pieces of dessert. Before she could finish, Bevis Benedict came down from the stage and walked over to her.

"How is it? Did you see your dream man?" Bevis Benedict grabbed a glass of red wine and approached Anastasia Hansom.

Still chewing, Anastasia Hansom nearly choked when she heard this. She patted her chest and took a deep breath before replying coldly, "Dream man? More like the King of Hell in my dreams."

Bevis Benedict burst into laughter, his gaze thoughtful as he looked at Eugene Harper, who was surrounded by admirers. He then scrutinized Eugene Harper from head to toe.

He shook his head lightly and said in a low voice, "Eugene Harper looks quite decent, surely not as bad as you describe. All these years, so many people in the courtyard have pursued you, yet you've never shown interest. Could it be that you—like women?"

Anastasia Hansom directly picked up a piece of dessert from the table and stuffed the whole thing into Bevis Benedict's mouth.

Choking, Bevis Benedict struggled to swallow the dessert.

At that moment, a servant of the Han family approached, "Second Young Master, Mr. Benedict is asking for you."

Bevis Benedict nodded, patted Anastasia Hansom's shoulder, and said, "Enjoy yourself, don't be shy."

With that, he followed the servant and left.

Anastasia Hansom, holding her drink, wandered around the venue. In the garden, there were lighted fountains and violinists. Just as she was about to enjoy the scene, a furious woman suddenly rushed over and slapped her across the face without warning.
