I froze in place, staring at them in disbelief.

Janelle Sanders, the woman who was always gentle and reserved in front of me and who claimed she had no interest in intimacy, now looked like a hostess in a club, desperately begging for Uncle Jackson’s attention.

Uncle Jackson heard the noise and lifted his head. He licked his lips with lingering satisfaction and put on a mocking smile.

My eyes burned red as I strode forward and grabbed Janelle by the wrist.

The insults were already at the tip of my tongue, but the sight of her pale face softened me for a split second. I turned and slapped Uncle Jackson hard across the face.

His head snapped to the side. Janelle let out a sharp cry before reaching up to gently touch the red mark on his cheek. She then shot me a furious glare.

“I was the one who seduced him. Take it out on me. Don’t lay a hand on him!”

She did not even bother to fix her clothes. Her body was still exposed as she lowered her head and kissed the mark on his face with concern.

Uncle Jackson did not dodge. He even leaned closer against her on purpose. When his hand was about to touch her again, something in my mind snapped. A ringing filled my ears, and I lost control, punching him again and again.

The commotion drew relatives and friends, who rushed over.

However, when they saw Janelle in revealing lingerie, sitting on Uncle Jackson’s lap and crying as she tried to stop me, they all looked on like spectators enjoying the drama. They stepped in with half-hearted, performative attempts to break it up.

“Come on, stop fighting. Your kid’s already that big. Having wandering thoughts is normal.”

“Exactly. Just let it go. Janelle’s gorgeous. You should be satisfied.”

Their words only fueled my rage. I wanted to beat him to death.

“Have you lost your mind?! That’s your uncle! Are you trying to kill him?!” Janelle shouted, then suddenly turned and slapped me hard across the face. The sting burned across my cheek, finally forcing me to stop as others pulled me out of the kitchen.

Wrapped in a bathrobe, Janelle did not spare me a single glance. She calmly slipped off the wedding ring from her left hand and placed it on the table.

My vision went dark as a suffocating pain crushed my chest. Back when I proposed, she said she wanted a one-of-a-kind ring, so I designed it myself and set every stone by hand.

Each gem was priceless. I traveled the world, bidding at auctions again and again to gather them for her.

I could still remember the surprise and joy in her eyes when she first saw it. She threw her arms around me, telling me over and over that she loved me more than anything, swearing her devotion for life.

I bit down hard on my tongue, forcing myself to stay calm. However, the moment I saw Janelle interlace her fingers with Uncle Jackson’s, tears poured out uncontrollably.

Uncle Jackson stood there with one hand in his pocket, wearing a careless smile.

“Byron, Jasmine, please don’t blame Janelle. I saw her alone in the kitchen, struggling with milk leakage, and she was dressed so beautifully and seductively. I just couldn’t control myself.

“But I really do like her. She’s beautiful and capable, and I can't get enough. One taste just made me want more. Anyway, Janelle and I are in love. Since you’re planning to leave the Yates family to Cyril, then Janelle belongs to me now. I’m taking her with me.”

Father clutched his chest in anger. Grandfather raised his cane high and brought it down hard toward Uncle Jackson’s back.

Janelle rushed forward, spreading her arms as she knelt before him. Tears welled in her eyes, but her gaze was unwavering.

“Grandpa, Dad, this is all my fault. I seduced him. I’m willing to accept any punishment, just please don’t hit him!”

Grandfather staggered back in fury, and Father quickly moved to support him as he let out a heavy sigh.

Janelle held Uncle Jackson’s hand and glanced at me one last time before leaving. There was not a trace of regret in her eyes. “I’m sorry, Cyril, but I’m not wrong.”

Hand in hand, they walked away without looking back.

The moment Janelle drove off, our son, who had been quietly sleeping in his stroller, suddenly burst into sharp, piercing cries.

I was about to explain when Uncle Jackson stormed in angrily, heading straight for Janelle, who was still disheveled. “So this is how it is. You’ve learned to fight back now? Did you forget what you used to be like in my bed?!”He raised his hand to hit her again, but I stepped forward and stopped him, saying in a low voice, “Uncle Jackson, whatever it is, you shouldn’t lay a hand on her.”He turned to me and sneered, throwing a punch in my direction. “She didn’t stop me when I hit her. Why do you care? This is my family matter. It's none of your business!”“This is domestic violence.”The bodyguards quickly restrained him. Sapphire’s voice turned cold. “Uncle Jackson, if I ever see you hit a woman again, I have plenty of ways to make sure you rot in prison.”No one dared question Sapphire’s professionalism. As Uncle Jackson muttered curses under his breath, he glared at me one last time before storming out.Sapphire took off her coat and draped it over Janelle, gently comfortin

It was as though life had treated him well.“Cyril, congratulations

By the end, Janelle was crying so hard that she could barely speak.I gestured toward several staff members who had been waiting in the corner, signaling for the new paperwork to be processed immediately.“Janelle, didn’t you tell yourself that he’s your husband now?”Mr. Sanders shakily lifted a hand as though he wanted to stop it, but when he thought about the Sanders family’s future, he swallowed his anger and instead shouted at the sobbing Janelle.“What are you crying for?! You made this mess yourself. Deal with the consequences!”The staff worked quickly and efficiently. Within two minutes, the divorce procedure was done.Janelle refused to take hers. She stared at me with reddened eyes and demanded, “Cyril… you really don’t want me anymore? Then what about our child? Don’t you want him either?”“I’ll take care of him myself. You won’t have to worry about him ever again.”It was as though she were making the hardest decision of her life. She said hoarsely, “Half an hour a

Uncle Jackson said nothing, simply holding Janelle as he continued moving.Janelle was clearly getting anxious, twisting against him like a water snake as she desperately catered to him.“Honey, let me have your baby, okay? Ever since I got together with you, everything about him disgusts me. If the doctor hadn’t said it would be hard for me to get pregnant again after the miscarriage, I would’ve aborted that child long ago.“Honey, you’re the only man I ever want to have children with…”A sharp pain stabbed through my chest.Over the years, I had given her everything she wanted. I had never once told her no. The next morning, I arrived at the company early to check the proceedings. The press conference and live broadcast were scheduled for 10:00 am. My parents and the elders of the Sanders family had already arrived.I greeted all four elders with a polite smile and guided them to their seats. The other business partners saw this and cast envious glances at Janelle in her white formal dress.“Who says there’s no true love in wealthy families? Ever since Cyril married the Shen family’s youngest daughter, he’s gotten her anything she wanted, even the stars in the sky. A mere subsidiary’s shares are nothing.”“But what about those rumors from a couple of days ago? About Janelle cheating with Cyril's uncle at her son’s full-month banquet? I heard a lot of relatives saw it.”“I was there. It’s true. But what can you say? Cyril is hopelessly in love, and he’s the only heir of the Yates family. Who would dare oppose him even if he hands over a thriving new company to his wife?”Uncle Jackso
