“He gave me his will? This is faster and easier than I imagined. This is really unbelievable” she thought as the driver drove her back to the house.

Even though she was happy that she was no longer bound by him, she felt so sad.

Two weeks later, the air was thick with solemnity as mourners gathered at the president’s burial site. The sprawling cemetery was surrounded by tall trees swaying in the breeze, their rustling leaves the only sound breaking the heavy silence. In the moment of love, Ava gets all the details she needs from Freddo and every secret she wants. Meanwhile Addams on the other hand, denies him of every bodily pleasure. “I can't have sex because I don't want to have a baby yet also so I won't take down my career,” she will always use as an excuse every time Aiden tries to hit on her. A month later, at the gala, an annual event was held to celebrate the timber and calibres of the society. Ava sat gracefully in a corner, her red dress hugging her form with elegance. Addams, sat next to Ava, holding her palms and smiling at her and looking back at the person under the spotlight The host, an exuberant middle-aged woman with a microphone in hand, smiled brightly as she called Ava to the stage. “And now, a few words from one of our most prominent models and stars Ava!” “What? I was going to speak?” she asked rhetorically trying to suppress her surprise while she stood up from the chair. The applause was deafening, and Ava felt

Meanwhile Ava on the other hand found herself adjusting to the rhythm of her new life. It wasn’t the fresh start she’d imagined—it was more like a forced retreat. Her enemies were still out there, and her past experiences which traumatized her still lingered in her mind. Her head could not help but play the warnings from Harvis. Coming to the USA, she felt she was going to escape from the dangers that were following her. “I thought I was just going to keep it low-key here but it's not happening, everyone on the internet knows I am here. I need to get a bodyguard shouldn't I?” she questioned herself. “Maybe I'll just hire one soon” She closed that chapter of thoughts from her mind. While she was sitting still a message notification popped on her screen and her brow furrowed as she opened it. “Let’s Meet Ava, It’s been a long time. I’ve recently arrived in the USA, and I’d like to see you. Can we meet this Friday at 7 PM? There’s something important we need to discuss. Don't

Bright beams of light lit up the dark part as another car sped into view. Tyres screeched as it came to a halt, and before Ava could process what was happening, a tall figure emerged, gun in hand. “Get away from her!” a deep voice bellowed. The men froze for a moment, startled by the newcomer. Shots rang out, and Ava ducked instinctively, covering her head. She heard shouting, the scuffle of footsteps, and then silence. When she finally lifted her head, the men were gone, their SUV speeding away into the night. The tall figure approached her car, his face now illuminated by the glow of his car’s headlights. It was Harvis. “Are you okay?” he asked, his tone firm but laced with concern. Ava blinked, still trying to process what had just happened. “You… you followed me?” “I’ve been keeping an eye on you,” he admitted, helping her out of the wrecked car. “I had a feeling something like this would happen. You’ve made enemies, Ava—powerful ones.” She stared at him, her breat

Later in the night while Ava sat down in the living room, the clock ticked softly in the background as Ava sat cross-legged on the plush couch in the grand living room. A single lamp illuminated the space, casting long shadows on the walls. She poked at the remnants of her dinner—grilled chicken and salad, chewing absentmindedly while the faint hum of the television played in the background. The president still wasn’t back. Ava glanced at her phone, and then at the ornate clock on the wall. It was nearing midnight, and she hadn’t heard a single word from him. Even though it was a good thing at least she didn't know why she even bothered to think about it. “Probably still at some meeting,” she muttered under her breath, stabbing a piece of lettuce with her fork. Her mind was racing, but she forced herself to focus on the TV, hoping the distraction would help fast racing heart. “This is not normal. Why is my heart beating this quick?” she muttered rhetorically. Picking up the r

She had no idea how she’d face him again after what had just happened. “I hate this,” she said under her breath and slammed her forehead slightly. Still, she knew better than to refuse. With a smile plastered on her face, she grabbed a shawl from the chair to drape over her shoulders, and nodded. “Lead the way,” she said, her voice steady though her insides churned and burned with anger and disgust. The servant escorted her through the winding hallways of the president. When they reached the grand double doors of the main hall, the servant opened them with a flourish. Inside, the room was buzzing with quiet conversation. At the center of it all stood the president, his commanding presence and a distinguished-looking man in a tailored suit. The man’s silver hair rang a bell in her head, and Ava quickly realized this must be the UN ambassador but this might also be someone she knew. The president’s eyes locked on her the moment she stepped in. His gaze was sharp and he mot
