A continuous knocking sound on the door had jerked Ava out of her sleep. She groaned frustratedly and almost cursed at whoever was behind the door. Yesterday had been very eventful to say the very least. The heavens could bear witness that she hadn't slept all night. She had spent most of the time she should have been sleeping, curling and turning in her bed then groaning, screaming, and kicking her pillows off the bed, begging the God of the earth to turn back the hands of time on her behalf—she definitely wouldn't disappoint him the second time.

Sincerely, she had never thought that a mere incident could possibly deprive her of the sleep she had never for once been deprived of.
