Mysterious man

Ivy picked up the shoe and looked at it in fear.

“Liam! Liam!!” She screamed and ran out of the house, looking all around for signs of anyone carrying a baby.

She ran down the street still in her apron with searching eyes and peeled out ears. Likewise, she so badly wanted to hear a baby's cry.

After seeing there was no one around with a baby. She ran back home.

She convinced herself she didn't check the house well. He was somewhere there.

Although, one part of her brain nagged at her.

Liam couldn't walk. He couldn't crawl. He couldn't suddenly sprout wings and fly out of the cot. Someone had taken him. Who?

She took in deep breaths. The first person to call was Piper. Piper would know what to do.

She walked in the house, picked up Liam's single shoe and closed the door. Then she immediately ran to the room to get her phone and dialed Piper's number.

“Piper.” She called.

“Yes? What's wrong with Ivy? Are you okay?” Piper asked.
