Lucy expression turned grave immediately. “ But what happen to you?, I was worried when I received your call and you don’t talk." she said finally.

Well, Linda did successful make a call to her daughter, just that she fall unconscious even before the call connect, thus when it connected, Lucy also picked up the call, only for her to met a silent end. Thus she knew something was wrong, she came right back immediately, only to met her mother been rushed to hospital by an ambulance.

Linda smiled at Lucy first. “It was Alexis." she replied.

Lucy was stunned at first. “My sister did all of this injury you." Though Lucy was stunned, yet her voice showed more anger than surprise.

"She is not your sister, and she would never be your sister." Linda eyes turned grave immediately, so was her voice vicious too, clearly she was angry at Lucy right now.

And the reason for her anger was not far fetched. Linda did not just dislike Alexis, she hated Alexis, in fact she detested the poor girl, she really wanted nothing to do with Alexis at all, thus she clearly draw a clear line between herself and Alexis, hence she never acknowledged herself as Alexis stepmother, she did wanted Lucy never to see Alexis as her stepsister too.

Lucy nod her head in agreement. “Okay I don't dispute that. But the Alexis that I know had never hurt anyone around the residence.”

“Well that might be true, but something snapped inside that bitch when I talked about her parent death.” Linda said in a confused tone.

Lucy also looked so confused too. “I don’t understand what you meant by that.”

Linda looked back at Lucy for a few seconds, she opened her mouth and jumped to explanation about what transpired between herself and Alexis. After some minute, she concluded her tale. She looked back to her daughter again.

“So just like that she snapped back and hurt you to this extent.” Lucy said.

Linda nod her head vigorously. “Exactly that is it, and that gave me a good alibi to used against her, and then send her off good.” Her expression was total evil.

“I am sorry, I can’t understand you well.” Lucy said.

“I meant, Alexis was a murderer, and I am going to make sure I punish her." Linda said finally

Lucy scoffed loudly, she beat her mother head with her finger. “I don’t think you hurt your head as well.”

Linda grew confused, she looked at Lucy with confused and anger look. “Are you trying to say, I am going mentally affected just because a sniveling brat beat me down?”

Lucy almost burst to laughter seeing her mother looking so vicious right now. “But Mom, if you are this vicious against Alexis, you won’t be in that hospital right now.” Lucy said in a joke.

Linda retracted her anger. “Well, my look won’t moved that brat today, she look so dangerous that I almost had an heartbreak, even before she hurt me.”

Lucy snapped her finger at her mother. “That is it, you said you want to punish her, but if I must remember you very well, Alexis is more like Captain America right now.” Lucy said all together.

Linda looked at Lucy for a few seconds first, finally she burst to laughter, now she understand Lucy very well, she also understand her concern too. Fighting against Alexis will just end up in a loss for them, because it’s impossible to defeat Alexis in a fight, that girl had trained for an unknown years in martial art.

Thus surviving against bunch of killers was like breathing in and out for her, even she had once fought against gunmen and was unscathed, her moves was elegant, yet quick and dangerous, with all the acupuncture needle that Alexis carried around in her wrist, she could escaped from any trouble.

Linda was an actress, and she feature in some action movies during her prime, even right now, she still feature in some action movies, thus she understand how much effort was out into making a fighting scene, and off course making it looked so real to the viewers. But Alexis can do that elegantly without trouble.

After laughing to her heart content, Linda turned back at Lucy, she focused on her first. “I don’t dispute that brat fighting skills, but if I am to remind you very well, I am a known actress, I knew many people at the top seat. And who is Alexis? She is a nobody, even though she had a philanthropist father.”

Lucy frowned first. “So you are trying to say, you are going to make use of your fame against her.”

Linda nod her head and smiled. “I knew my baby girl would understand what I am saying.”

Lucy gasp out loudly. “That is cruel.”

“That is not been cruel, I am an actress and playing a show to the taste of my fans is what I do for living.” Linda said while smiling mischievously.

Lucy frowned at her mother. “Mom, are you going to do what I was thinking right now." Lucy asked.

Linda only continued to smile, she wanted to say something. But then the next minute, the doctor came into the room to discharged Linda, after the doctor checked on Linda pulse for a few seconds, she turned around to Lucy.

“Well Miss Lucy, your mother is alright, she only suffered a few concussion and some slight injury.”

“So now she is awake, can we leave for our home right now?” Lucy asked.

The doctor nod her head. “Yeah, you can leave, you only have to settle your bill, and you are free to go.” The Doctor turned to go, but turned around. “Oh! Your mother might good, but do ensure she takes her drugs regularly.” Finally the doctor walked away.

Lucy nod her head, she turned to her mother. “I will be back.”

Linda nod her head, and Lucy also left the ward. Linda eyes turned grave immediately, she had always detested Alexis very much, the hatred began from Alexis mother, who was already late.

Its that, Alexis father married Linda not because of love, but because of his reputation, he was only trying to prevent a scandal that might destroyed his reputation. Moreover Alexis mother was the one who even suggested that he married Linda, at least the family was rich enough even if Alexis father married a hundred wife.

Linda got her wish as the second wife, even her career also soared high once again, but she was not contented at all, she saw how much Alexis father love Alexis Mother very much. And the reason was not far fetched, its because both of them pass through hardship together.

Moreover, the woman handled everything she had to her husband, it was more like she treated her husband like a gods which she worship. Hence Alexis father returned the love that Alexis Mother showed to him in a thousand fold.

Many times, Linda was all alone in the house, while the couple were together creating good memories, in fact Alexis father hardly slept with Linda, she even stopped coming when Linda became pregnant with Lucy, he only bought all the nutrition and all that she needed for her, and handle her into the care of a nanny.

All of this gesture caused Linda to detested Alexis mother mightily, and thus the hatred is what she transferred to Alexis herself, after her mother death.

Lucy came back to the ward followed by a nurse, the nurse did removed every line connected to Linda body, then she left, Lucy also helped her mother up and they both walked away. Once they were outside, both mother and daughter were very surprised at what greeted.

Immediately, they were welcome by wave of media, flash from picture begin to shine at their face, video cameras and microphone were pushed towards the pair.
