The next thing she knew was that she was slung on his muscular shoulder. She thrashed her legs, but he carried her as if she weighed no more than a bag of feathers. "Caelum please!" She begged him but he ignored her as he walked through the corridors and into the bedroom. And threw her on the bed. While she was busy recovering her breath, he threw his coat on the floor and started unbuttoning his shirt. "W-what are y-you doing?" she asked. Her face paler than paper. "Exactly what married couples do, love." He said dropping the shirt on the floor, His voice so full of viciousness that she almost choked on them. She dragged herself back on the bed sobbing, "no.." He grabbed her legs and pulled her towards himself. He crawled on top of her. He looked into her terrified eyes and whispered, "You make me do terrible things, my dear Rose." He wiped a stray tear from her chin before grabbing it. "I will bruise your lip and scar your knees and love you too hard.." he brushed his lips on hers, "I will destroy you. And when I leave, You will finally understand why storms are named after humans." ........................... Rosette never had an easy life, and after the death of her mother, when she thought things couldn't get worse, her life started going fully downhill. She was tortured beyond repair in her own house. Walking home from school was always a sinking feeling for her heart. But today it was different, Every step she took reminded her of her sprained ankle and an empty stomach.
Her brown hair reaching her shoulders were all tangled, her face looked pale, her lips, nose, and cheeks seemed to have become a deeper shade of pink and her hazel eyes were so dark they could be brown. Her blue sweater wasn't helping with the cold and her feet were heavy like logs of wood. Her ankle strained everytime she put her weight on it causing her to hiss and wince at the pain
The snow was thick, she kept her eyes on her feet and focused on the number of steps she took because she knew that if she would look up her eyes would give her away. She knew that if she started crying she won't be able to stop. The burning in her chest was getting hotter every moment, the knots in her stomach getting tighter. 48. 49. 50...57.. 59... 72... 104. She counted. Her breathing getting faster by the second. Her head pounded and rang like a doorbell.
Before she knew her eyes filled up. As she tried to stop herself she was already on her knees, hands covering her face, she was crying and sobbing, even beneath the afternoon sun, everything looked gloomy, dark.
Between her sobs she whispered, "mom, please come back, how will I ever tell belle that her mom is dead? How will I go through school, college ?..how am I supposed to accept this?..mom". It is never easy to lose someone we love, but this 15-year-old lost her mom, the very lady who was supposed to help her grow and become a young lady, love her, teach her, scold her...but now it was all lost she was gone.
Rosette couldn't bring herself to imagine her life without her mom. She stared at the snow covering her black leggings, she didn't care about the cold biting on her fingers, she just sat there on her knees and cried, cried till her eyes burn and her face became red. She thought about her fathers face and how it had lost all its charm overnight. she was scared for her little sister who knew nothing of the world. she thought and thought till the snow was knitting itself in her knees with cold jaws.
She was scared and broken inside but she knew that when she will walk through the doors of her house she'll have to be brave, if not for herself then for her sister. If that little girl who had now placed her faith in her teenage sister, saw her cry she'd shatter like glass.
Libelle is just 10, how would she ever get over this .. will she be able to be the happy cheerful girl she always was.. would she be able to love and care about anyone without the fear of losing them ..without having a feeling that any moment they wish she could vanish from her life.
These were the thoughts that were haunting her. She thought all this was about her sister but little did she know she was also talking about herself. Love had become a fleeting feeling for her.
A constant fear of loss.
