I'LL STAY

The duel continues as he raised her up again to slap her but heard a warning growl from the captain, so he pushed her away like trash.

Just when he thought she had given up and wanted to leave the circle, she stood up, yes she'll rather be beaten up than to give up like a coward after all she told him that she'll stay.

He dashed towards her again and beat her up but yet again she gritted her teeth and stood up again and again. But this time , Jason had taken enough and decided to knock her out so he held her hair and made her stand and that's when he realized that she was biting her lips not to make a sound and her eyes were red and brimming with unshed tears and that agitated him more.

He clawed on her face again but this time harder and the sound it made was so gruesome that it made the onlookers to wince.

"This field is not for you" he growled out his words

"You can't determine that" she replied breathlessly as she felt her soul leaving her body at the slaps he gave her.

"I'll see to that and I heard you don't have a wolf , this field is not for disabled people like you" he spat out but she was not bothered because she knows she has a wolf.

"And even if you have a wolf , it'll be as useless as you" he snickered lowly

That word alone was enough to trigger her wolf that was aching to come out and with a deep growl , Penelope stabbed his stomach with her claws. It was so fast that no one saw what happened, only Andrew did as he has been paying good attention to her expressions but everyone did hear her growl but didn't see her attack Jason. The only way they knew something was wrong was when he let her go and with a loud thud she fell on the floor, breathless as her eyes fluctuated between red and blue, her wolf was on the edge.

Actually her wolf was always on the edge since childhood but because of her weird color she'd rather be beaten up than try to fight back and also her human form was also weak so her wolf only helped her by healing fast.

Jason grabbed his stomach with shock, not that the pain of the stab was too much just that he didn't expect it. As he turned to Penelope with killing Intent , Andrew blew the whistle indicating the end of the duel. Jason left the circle full of wrath .

"Penelope will be joining the inter- immediate section" Andrew announced calmly, for a beginner to be able to even give a scratch on Jason's body, he or she has potential. The crowd was angry with this decision especially the beginners and inter- immediate sections.

A stretcher was brought in and a bloody looking Penelope was placed on it. She closed her eyes as she didn't know if her eyes still shone red. As soon as she was driven into the infirmary , she asked for a mirror while still closing her eyes.

The nurse was surprised at such a request but gave it to her anyway, as she collected the mirror she opened her eyes and released a sigh of relief when she noticed that her eyes went back to normal. But she felt bile rising up in her throat as she stared at her face. Her cheeks were twisted with deep claw marks that made her nose tingle. With a resigned sigh she dropped the mirror.

" Thank you" she handed the mirror back to her

"Why did you join the warriors, it's more of a male thing you know?" She asked with pity while bringing her first aid box.

" I have my reasons and I wish to go back to my room" she climbed down the bed painstakingly

"You're not hurting anymore?" she was bewildered

"No, I'm still in pain but I think I can handle it, let me go to my room to freshen up a bit? " she flashed her a desperate glance

"Ok, you can go " she reluctantly agreed because she knew she was very injured

"Thank you" she wanted to give out a smile but knowing that it would look hideous with her face so she refrained from it.

" I'm nurse Elena and here's an ointment for your face,you're too pretty to be left with scars" she called out with a smile

" Thank you and I'm Penelope " she replied with with a soft expression on her face.

Andrew knocked on the door and when he was certain he heard a come in he entered into Lucian's office. There he was sitting majestically behind his desk that was an intricately hand-carved oak. He leaned back in his chair while looking at Andrew.

"Alpha" he bowed and was acknowledged with a slight nod.

"The girl you handed over to me was placed on the intermediate section per your orders"

"Ok" he replied then raised his eyebrows when he saw he wasn't going out

"Anything else?" he asked while looking down at the file he was reading when Andrew walked in

"Not that I want to interfere but don't you think she'll cope better in the beginners section, I mean she was almost beaten to death today and if she keeps on getting beaten up everyday, I fear she won't be able......"

"Captain Andrew !!!" he bellowed

" I think she's perfect where she is" he spoke as his gaze pierced through him

"Right ... she is" he stuttered and with that he turned to leave and bumped into Beta Tyler

"Is he in?" he pointed his head towards Lucian's office

" Yes" and Tyler strode into the office

" Guess what, angry bird" he shoved himself into a chair with a little grin

" What" Lucian snapped at him as he had no time for games

"The elders summons you" he finally said as his face breaks into a mischievous grin

" Fuck!!" he slammed his hands on his table
