ROGUES

" Stop!!!, Ariana, please stop this madness" Penelope tries to stop Ariana from running like a crazy maniac.

" He despises me, I felt it from his aura". Came her monotone voice

" Well, that's us, if you can remember, so stop running, i don't even know where we are, you need to........".

" He already rejected your human form, I think we should go back and show him our wolf fo......"

" And what???" She snaps at her wolf

" Maybe ,just maybe, he'll accept us" She replied with a tired voice

" Ariana when he rejected me,he meant both of us , why can't you see that, I thought we were one" She whispered with hurt .

"I'm sorry" Ariana said as she came to a halt.

" Meanwhile, where are we?" Ariana looked around hysterically

" You figure that out" Penelope huffed

" I hear something" Ariana said as her ears perked up as they picked up a sound.

" Like what?" Now Penelope was getting scared, she doesn't want companies, at least not this night.

" Ariana, what is it?.......... Ariana!!!!"

" Rogues, they are 1,2,3....hell they're up to 7, we're surrounded"

" Oh my God, I told you ......" Penelope started but was interrupted

" Ohh please for god's sake this is not the time for 'I told you so games' "

" What do we do" Penelope asked shakily

" We fight, we have no choice"

" Yes, we have no choice, we have to........what?.....fight??".

" Yes, we fight".

At that a ferocious looking wolf jumped out and hesitated a bit when seeing their colour but still but still came forward to attack and lunged to bite Ariana on her neck but she dodged and bit him on his hind legs and then the other rogues poured out like worms .

In the dark forest, all that was heard was the growls of wolves, clashing of paws, ear piercing howls and painful whimpers from Ariana. The air was thick with the smell of blood and bile.

Ariana had fought the good fight and could hardly take a breathe without shaking terribly, the rogues surrounded them as if waiting for Ariana to change but she was not giving them the chance to finish them off.

" Penelope!!" her voice was heavy with pain

" Ana" she replied weakly as she felt every ounce of pain Ana was passing through.

" Call our mate" Ana suggested painfully as she felt life slipping out of her.

" What mate ?, he left us despite knowing the dangers out here , besides he rejected us , he won't hear my voice even if tried".

"Try!!, call mate, I can't hold on any longer, I don't want us to die, please " She kept on urging desperately as the crazed wolves were chomping down on her lazily as if saving her for the last moment.

" Alpha Lucian" She tried telepathically as she tries to picture his wolf and his face. She didn't want to do this but she can't lose her wolf , not now when it looked like as if the world was turning their backs on her.

" Lucian, it's me, Penelope, your mat....." She breathes in shakily.

" We're in danger, please come" Ariana howled in pain as one of the rogues slashed at her skull.

" Ariana, Ana!, No!!!!, Please don't do this, don't die on me, Ana!!!!" She pleaded hysterically as she feels the bond between her and Ariana waver.

" Lucian!!!, Lucian!!!!!" She sobbed sadly

And slowly she turned back to her human and the rogues gleefully started to bite down on her . She fought and fought breathlessly, flinging her arms till they fell slumped and weak beside her.

" Maybe, Lucian was right to have rejected me, maybe the moon goddess hates me, maybe my parents never wanted me from the get go"

Those were her depressing thoughts as life slipped out from her, lone tears as big as pearls fell from her eyes.

Something passed her fast and furious and painfully familiar biting down on the wolf stepping down on her belly. But who was she kidding, it was probably an hallucination, what was that saying about wishful thinking at your direst moment.

But wait .....! , why does this hallucination seem too real and as she was fighting to keep her eyes open, the branches of trees that already looked like skeletal fingers seemed to be reaching out for her, she knew it !!! , she has been seeing things. Then she blacked out.........
