Getting to the door of my apartment, I whirled around and smiled at him. ‘’You really didn’t have to come all the way since I was basically the one at fault and wanted to make time for it.’’
He scoffed humorously. ‘’I am not a petty guy, Emerald. Especially with things I love.’’
I swallowed hard and turned to knock on the door.
‘’I was thinking if you’d like to go out sometime this weekend?’’ he asked and I squinted at the door. “A bonfire?’’
‘’Well that would be great. Been into that for a while now. Sunday’s a little busy for me, leave it at Saturday?’’
