Chapter 8 - Let's place a Bet

"Oh my God!" Chisom exclaimed, "Mr admirer is gay?" She questioned another shock evident on her face. 

"I don't think so. Besides, you shouldn't believe everything the internet says sometimes they can lie because I saw the way Ryan was looking at Chimamanda. It wasn't ordinary" Chidinma defended.

"Okay, no problem, he might not be gay" Chisom said. Besides, he has a masters in political science just like you, why don't you give him a chance for the sake of the same spirit you bookworms share? Chisom pleaded.

Chimamanda rolled her eyes in disgust "I am not interested" she replied bluntly.

"Come on, little sis, Chidinma whined Ryan feels something for you, you have seen the bouquet with cute messages he sends here, and I know your desk has a share too. I've seen you turn down his numerous dates, and he still comes back to ask. Give him a trail na." Chidinma pleaded. 

Chimamanda lets out a tired sigh, she looks at both of her sisters and holds their hands

" You both know, I am a coquette, and I don't settle for guys, Have you forgotten Jide or Tope, or that Idiot Dozie, or Fred, or is it short Francis, or the last bugger and stalker Kola? You name them, I play and dump guys I don't keep them" Chimamanda said defending why she shouldn't listen to their pleas. 

"That's why you need Ryan in your life to change Sis" Chidinma pressed on.  

Chimamanda chuckled and said "wow so he is now Jesus Christ who can change my life now, right? she turned and looked at Chidinma who shrugged. "besides you would have been a good lawyer. Why did you have to waste your time in mass communication?" Chimamanda asked sarcastically. 

Chisom giggled, she was acting as a watch dog. "Don't be sarcastic Chimamanda and you know I hate to argue, I wouldn't have survived with a professional course like law and don't even think of deviating from going out with Ryan. 

" Alright, let's place a bet"Chidinma suggested. "Cool, bring it on" Chimamanda replied.

"Good, if you go on one date with Ryan, I'll make you my cover for my next fashion magazine, you'll be my fashion icon, your interviews will feature and any other thing you want me to add".  

"cool, let's do it. Besides, it's just one date, even though I really want to go out with him" Chimamanda thought to herself.

Chidinma's fashion magazine is one of the most trending fashion magazines in Nigeria, Africa, U.S.A, the UK and Canada, so it was a big offer. 

"I'm in, just a date tho" Chimamanda rolled her eyes reluctantly like she wasn't so interested.

" You've made a good decision, you won't regret it, ” Chidinma said almost immediately.  

"Hurray" Chisom screamed at the top of her lungs excitedly like a little girl that was handed sweets.

"I'll get to be the photographer as always, right, Big sis"? Chisom asked Chidinma.

"" Definitely " Chidinma winked at Chisom.

The girls went back to their dress hunting after so many changes, Chidinma settled on a Silver off-the-shoulder dress with a low neck line exposing her boobs a little and a slit that stopped mid thigh.

"Glow sister and bring a boyfriend back home" Chimamanda teased. Chisom giggled.

"I pray so, I'm already tired of being single, I need my prince charming" Chidinma whined.

Chidinma checked the time, it was still 2pm so they all went downstairs for lunch. she was meant to start preparing for the show by 5:30pm since it was slated for 7:00pm. They ate their lunch of spaghetti and meatballs with orange juice. 

After lunch they crawled back to Chidinma's room to gist and play games, they took pictures and posted them on their different social media platforms. Once it was 5:30pm Chidinma went to the bathroom to take her bath. She dressed up in her dress while Chimamanda did her make-up.

She gave her a perfect brow with an arch contouring her face perfectly . She applied black and silver eye shadows and finished it with a sexy car eyes effect with the eye liner, lined her lips perfectly and applied a shiny lipgloss. Chidinma looked at the mirror and wore a very big smile on her lips, she stood up and hugged Chimamanda.

"Thanks, sis, you always enhance my beautiful face in a professional way" Chidinma beamed with smiles.

"You are welcome, Sis" Replied Chimamanda.

"Now sit and give me a sexy pose" Chisom said cutting them short from their moment.

Chidinma sat down and took pictures posing in a sexy manner, she also took some while standing after she wore a customized heel designed by their mother with a clutch purse.

She kissed each of her sisters goodbye after the picture seesion and left with their mum who was already set to go in a Toyota Prado Jeep.
