Morgan’s POV

Throughout the elevator ride back up to the penthouse, Alora's fingers stayed cold in mine while the scene in the lobby replayed over and over in my mind.

I didn't know exactly what powers my mate possessed, and I was in awe of her. What I knew was that I would do anything and everything to protect her, and keep her out of harms’ way.

And I would do everything in my power to find the man in the hoodie, whoever the hell he was.

I had questions, a thousand of them.

But right now, what mattered was her.

She was pale. Quiet. Still shaking a little as I unlocked the door and guided her inside.

“Go lie down,” I said softly. “Let me take care of you tonight.”

She smiled up at me and nodded without hesitation.

Just then, there was a message tone beeping on her phone. She rummaged through her purse and took out the phone, squinting at it with a huge frown on her face .

“Everything okay”? I asked her

She had a look of regret in her features. “Phoebe just told me the professor of

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 100: Burning for Her

Morgan's POVWhen I finally pulled into the hotel parking lot, I lifted her into my arms again. She clung to me, her legs wrapped around my waist as I took the private elevator straight up to my suite. She pressed kisses along my neck, licking the skin just above my collar, and whimpering while at it."You smell so good,” she said, moaning softly.I groaned, opening the door with my key card and stepping inside the room.I dropped her on the couch and went back to lock the door.Coming back, Alora stood only in her lace underwear.I held my head in my hands. She looked disheveled, her hair stood on ends, and she smiled like she liked how disoriented she made me feel.I turned away.“Look at me, Morgan.”F*ck.I looked. She was bare except for the lacy black bra and panties that made my entire body seize with hunger. “Alora,” I said, jaw clenched so hard it ached, “don’t do this.”But her eyes were lidded and heavy with desire. She reached for me again, and Ragnar surged forward, snar

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 99: She Called for Me

Morgan’s POVRagnar had been restless since we saw her at the facility, but I had ignored it. She wasn’t ready to be with me or forgive me yet and that was totally fine. I will give her till the end of this week. By Monday, I would have no choice but to force my way back into her life. She was mine, and I would not let her out of my grip. Not this time, not when I had waited forever for her. I missed her so much it hurt. As the sun went down, Ragnar became more restless, pacing inside me like a storm cloud just waiting to crack open. I’d ignored it during the day, but I couldn’t keep ignoring him. Maybe this was a warning sign. I checked the time, and it was almost midnight. Ragnar was still pacing, which made it hard to catch sleep. So I called Ryan immediately to be sure everything was alright. He didn't pick up my calls. It was out of character for Ryan not to pick up. All of a sudden, the pendant Alora had given me during the pre-birthday ritual began to heat up my skin.

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 98: No Exit

Alora’s POVI arrived at Phoebe’s, and met her in the kitchen, digging into leftover pasta straight from the pan.Immediately she saw me, she ran to me and enveloped me in a hug.“That’s my celebrity doctor,” she squealed.“I’m so proud of you”“Thank you” I replied, hugging her in return.I looked up at her. “You look suspiciously chipper,” I said, raising a brow. She smiled up at me. “I have news.”I leaned against the kitchen counter. “You always have news.”“This one’s good-good. Ryan asked me out tonight.”I blinked. “You just had dinner with him last week.”“I know,” she said, shrugging as if it wasn’t a big deal. But it was nice. He was actually… respectful. Charming. Not just trying to impress me. I think I want to give it a chance.”I jumped onto the counter, smiling. “So you’re going out on a second date?”Her eyes glinted. “We’re going to a club.”I froze. “A club?”“You’re coming with me.”I laughed. “Absolutely not.”“You are!” she insisted. “Don’t make me beg. I already

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 97: Star Girl

Alora’s POVI could smell the weekend energy as I strolled into the lobby of NovaMeds, my new workplace. Everybody had a hopeful look in their eyes and the entire place had a more relaxed atmosphere than a normal weekday. As soon as the elevator doors opened, and I stepped out, Ava waved at me from behind her desk.“Morning, star girl,” she said, grinning.I blinked. “Star girl?”She winked. “Yes, I can’t believe you’re already trending.”I furrowed my brows. “Trending? What did I do”? I asked, my heart beginning to thud in my chest. She smiled like she was hiding something before nodding towards the far end of the corridor. “Dr. Hernandez is in the staff hub. He said to send you in when you arrive.”My brows drew together. “Did I do something wrong?”She gave a small smile that was meant to relax me but agitated me instead.“Ava, please give me a heads-up". I pleaded.“Trust me,” she said, lowering her voice, “you’ll want to be there.”I swallowed down the knot in my throat and wal

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 96: You Will Break

Violet’s POVI stepped inside, shut the door, and turned the lock with trembling fingers. My heart beat fast and loudly as adrenaline coursed through my body. Kaira, my wolf, Kaira, became restless, jumping from one place to another, seeking an escape.I turned on the water faucet to mask any sound that might result from trying to escape. I was with my phone, so I timed myself. If I stayed there longer than necessary, the guard outside would definitely raise an alarm.I turned around, looking for an escape, until I saw the narrow window above me.I knew immediately that my hand could not reach it, so I climbed onto the toilet seat and I pushed at it, but it was stuck from disuse. I checked around, and my eyes landed on an old toothbrush. I grabbed it and pushed it into the window crack, until it gave way and opened with a thud. I pushed the glass open as far as it would go. A rush of cool evening air hit my face, and for a split second, I felt... free. The main road was so close I cou

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 95: Dinner with the Devil

Violet’s POVI was in my room trying to sleep off the dizziness that I was feeling when I heard a knock on my door, and before I could ask who it was, my door was pushed open, and I rolled my eyes. I was back home where my privacy was not respected. My mother walked into the room, looking nervous and fidgety.“What is it?” I snapped, sitting up and turning my glare on her.I flinched. “What do you want?”“Can we talk?”“No.”She exhaled quietly, folding her hands in her lap. “I know you’re upset, Violet. I wish I could change your father’s mind. I do. But he’s the man of the house. I don’t get a say in how he chooses to run it.”“And why is that? Why don’t you get a say in anything?”Her eyes flickered. “It’s too late for all of that now. The guests are downstairs. I was sent to come get you.”She stood and walked to the wardrobe, pulling out a white gathered gown, one that would conveniently hide the baby bump I couldn’t anymore.“Why would I change? I am perfectly fine with what I
