Alora’s POV

After eating, I turned to Harry with a satisfied smile. “Thank you, Harry.”

He nodded.

“I’ll be right back”

My hand snapped out and held his “Wait…”

He was surprised at my boldness. He raised his brows. “Anything else”?

“Can you please talk to him”?

“About what? And his name is "Alpha Morgan”? He asked, with a raised eyebrow.

I gulped, nodding “About me leaving… I think he has the wrong person. I swear I'm nothing important. I am just an orphan, please "I pleaded, holding his gaze.

I saw pity in his eyes, it flashed before it disappeared. “ The Alpha doesn't care about any of that. He is just happy to have found you after so many years.”

I furrowed my brows. “What do you mean by that”?

“It's not my place to explain and, trust me, he will not be happy if he sees us like this,” he said, his eyes fixed on my hand in his sleeve.

“Sorry” I replied, tears springing into my eyes.

On seeing my tears, he dropped the plates in his hands, and turned to me. “It's not going to work,

Alora’s POVI arrived at Phoebe’s, and met her in the kitchen, digging into leftover pasta straight from the pan.Immediately she saw me, she ran to me and enveloped me in a hug.“That’s my celebrity doctor,” she squealed.“I’m so proud of you”“Thank you” I replied, hugging her in return.I looked up at her. “You look suspiciously chipper,” I said, raising a brow. She smiled up at me. “I have news.”I leaned against the kitchen counter. “You always have news.”“This one’s good-good. Ryan asked me out tonight.”I blinked. “You just had dinner with him last week.”“I know,” she said, shrugging as if it wasn’t a big deal. But it was nice. He was actually… respectful. Charming. Not just trying to impress me. I think I want to give it a chance.”I jumped onto the counter, smiling. “So you’re going out on a second date?”Her eyes glinted. “We’re going to a club.”I froze. “A club?”“You’re coming with me.”I laughed. “Absolutely not.”“You are!” she insisted. “Don’t make me beg. I already

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 97: Star Girl

Alora’s POVI could smell the weekend energy as I strolled into the lobby of NovaMeds, my new workplace. Everybody had a hopeful look in their eyes and the entire place had a more relaxed atmosphere than a normal weekday. As soon as the elevator doors opened, and I stepped out, Ava waved at me from behind her desk.“Morning, star girl,” she said, grinning.I blinked. “Star girl?”She winked. “Yes, I can’t believe you’re already trending.”I furrowed my brows. “Trending? What did I do”? I asked, my heart beginning to thud in my chest. She smiled like she was hiding something before nodding towards the far end of the corridor. “Dr. Hernandez is in the staff hub. He said to send you in when you arrive.”My brows drew together. “Did I do something wrong?”She gave a small smile that was meant to relax me but agitated me instead.“Ava, please give me a heads-up". I pleaded.“Trust me,” she said, lowering her voice, “you’ll want to be there.”I swallowed down the knot in my throat and wal

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 96: You Will Break

Violet’s POVI stepped inside, shut the door, and turned the lock with trembling fingers. My heart beat fast and loudly as adrenaline coursed through my body. Kaira, my wolf, Kaira, became restless, jumping from one place to another, seeking an escape.I turned on the water faucet to mask any sound that might result from trying to escape. I was with my phone, so I timed myself. If I stayed there longer than necessary, the guard outside would definitely raise an alarm.I turned around, looking for an escape, until I saw the narrow window above me.I knew immediately that my hand could not reach it, so I climbed onto the toilet seat and I pushed at it, but it was stuck from disuse. I checked around, and my eyes landed on an old toothbrush. I grabbed it and pushed it into the window crack, until it gave way and opened with a thud. I pushed the glass open as far as it would go. A rush of cool evening air hit my face, and for a split second, I felt... free. The main road was so close I cou

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 95: Dinner with the Devil

Violet’s POVI was in my room trying to sleep off the dizziness that I was feeling when I heard a knock on my door, and before I could ask who it was, my door was pushed open, and I rolled my eyes. I was back home where my privacy was not respected. My mother walked into the room, looking nervous and fidgety.“What is it?” I snapped, sitting up and turning my glare on her.I flinched. “What do you want?”“Can we talk?”“No.”She exhaled quietly, folding her hands in her lap. “I know you’re upset, Violet. I wish I could change your father’s mind. I do. But he’s the man of the house. I don’t get a say in how he chooses to run it.”“And why is that? Why don’t you get a say in anything?”Her eyes flickered. “It’s too late for all of that now. The guests are downstairs. I was sent to come get you.”She stood and walked to the wardrobe, pulling out a white gathered gown, one that would conveniently hide the baby bump I couldn’t anymore.“Why would I change? I am perfectly fine with what I

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 94: First Day on the Job

Alora’s POVIt was my first day, so I had woken up early that morning. I didn't want my boss to have a bad impression of me. So I went ahead and took a cab to the medical facility where I would begin my internship. As soon as I walked into the reception, she smiled at me and handed me a package. “Those are your scrubs and the necessary things you will work with. You were assigned to Dr. Hernandez, the chief medical research officer. He is in a meeting right now, but he requested to see you as soon as he is out of the meeting”.I nodded. “Thank you, Ava.She gave a small smile. “You’re really lucky. You will be working with the best and most brilliant physician-scientist with a background in neuroscience”. She said, handing me a tablet and smiled.I blinked. “Really?”“Yes”I gulped. “Wow”“Anything else”? She asked, already going back to her PC.“Ermm… If you could point me in the direction of the staff cafeteria or kitchen, I really need coffee” I said.“Sure” she replied, pointing t

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 93: Chosen for Her

Harry’s POVI was almost dozing off after a restless night of chasing rogues out of our land when a knock at the door woke me up. I sniffed the air, trying to decide if it was worth the hassle of leaving my comfortable bed. Then the smell hit me. Warm flowery scent. I felt Valko stir deep within me, and a tremor ran down my spine.I closed my eyes and exhaled sharply.“What the f*ck does she want”?There was another soft knock.I walked to the door and opened it.And there she was.Chloe.Her brown curls were pinned back loosely, and she wore one of those plain gray flimsy omega uniforms that barely covered her boobs and exposed her long shapely legs. The gown was too short, and I wondered whose twisted mind conceived such a revealing outfit for omegas. Then she looked up at me with those soulful green eyes that turned me to mush. I loved her eyes, they were a rare shade of green and very beautiful. I clenched my jaw, as I felt Valko responding to her subtle seduction, the pull e
