He was smiling. Alpha Jared said those words with a smile, but I felt like the air around me was being sucked out. This car felt like a vacuum, and I couldn't breathe.

"Have a comfortable seat, Victora. We still have a long way to go," he said again, which made my body freeze.

Had I just walked into another asshole's trap? I tried hard to escape from Ace but fell into another black hole. Oh my! What a miserable life!

We spent the rest of the trip in silence. No one spoke. Not me, Alpha Jared, or the driver. This made me shiver even more. I wondered what I would face after this.

"Alpha Jared, please. Don't hurt me," I begged as the car we were traveling in drove down a deserted road.
