Alpha Adrian's POVI howl. A continuous howl that seems never to end. Thousands of unruly ones climb toward the higher ground where I stand, moving at high speed.My eyes are not even looking at them, but at her, lying down there,no movement, no sign of life.When the unruly ones are just a few inches away, my eyes snap back to them as my fangs elongate to their maximum length. Then, the fight begins.About a dozen unruly ones come jumping at me from the right-hand side, and I slash them mid-air. I land heavily on several others who are not quick enough to dodge; a loud cry escapes from their mouths as their bones are crushed.I do the same thing to several more who jump from behind me, the left-hand side, and my front. The bodies of dead unruly ones surround me.My eyes meet with one of them—he is quite a bit taller than the rest. He touches the cheek of Roxellena, and my heart burns with pain.I charge forward, but I quickly stop when he places a knife against Roxellena's neck.
