Aguilar:
“Did you call for Daniel?” I asked, asking about my son. My beta, Ezio, smiled and nodded.
“He should be on the way, Alpha. We have already sent orders for them to be brought here from Moscow.” Ezio said, and I nodded, looking out the window of the office that was now my own.
“Good, I have missed him terribly.” I said, and Ezio smiled.
“Both he and Luna Ella have missed you too. You know, she has been waiting for your call and would be anxious to see you when she is back.” He said, and I nodded, not saying a word at the mention of my first Luna. The mother of my eldest son.
“You know, we are going to have a lot to take care of now,” I said, and he smiled, knowing that I was right. “The fact that we are now standing in the center of the world. Where the world will be bending the knee to their Alpha, it is going to be time for us to set new ground rules.”
“I am curious about how the humans would be accepting the new rules and grounds that we set for them. You know, they tend to have a difficult time doing so. And if we are going to be repeating the same cycles; I doubt that anything would be changing. They refuse to accept change, and by time, it has become the other Alpha’s essential task to force them into submission. Something that I know you wouldn’t want to do.” He said, and I nodded in agreement.
“We are going to force them into submission, yes. But it is going to be done in our own terms.” I said, and he raised an eyebrow. A heavy feeling settled in my chest, and I couldn’t help but find myself curious about my wolf’s reaction as he grew alert. It wasn’t out of danger, but a scent had his attention. One that I couldn’t understand.
“Do you think that they are going to be willing to submit? You know, judging by how things are, I doubt that they are going to be making things easy for any of us. If anything, they are going to be more than willing to choose being aggressive.” He said, and I nodded as the two of us walked out of the office. I nodded at the men who were standing by the door and they returned the nod. They were my men, and I knew that things were going to be changing for everyone.
“And that is why my main target is not going to be those who think that they have the authority over these humans. While they are going to need to focus on how they go about on their lives and things, we are going to be sure that we focus on earning the people.” I said, walking toward the halls of the house. “They are going to know that my reign is not going to be like the ones that they lived through.”
“You know that they are not going to trust us, Aguilar. Chances that they even listen to a word that we say are slim. If they see that their leaders are scared, they would be growing fierce and when that happens, we are going to have to deal with more than we are going to want to afford. And sometimes, it is not even worth the fuss.” He said, and I chuckled.
The feeling in my chest grew stronger, and I found myself frowning as I approached the estate’s harem. The dorm where my concubines would be staying. I walked toward there, it was way past my path, I knew that, but I needed to know and understand where this scent came from.
“Had we not made a fuss, we wouldn’t have been here, Ezio. That is something that you are going to need to keep in mind,” I said, choosing to keep the fact, her presence, whoever she was, to myself. I stopped, knowing that we have gotten far enough. We had people waiting for us to show up, and the last thing that I wanted right now was to delay what I knew would be one of the biggest changes that we would be making. “While things might end up being complicated for all of us, we are going to need to deal with them the way that we know best.”
“The two of us dreamed of being here, and when I was exiled, we both believed that it would be almost impossible for that to happen. Many made sure that it wouldn’t be possible, and yet, here we are.” I said, turning toward the door where I could hear the voices of the men who had gathered to see their new Alpha. The Alpha of Alphas.
“You and I both know that things were different,” he said.
“And things are going to be different now. One way or the other, I am going to force them to accept our new ways. But they are going to be doing it while being convinced. At least, their people, those who believe that they are unsafe would know that they are. Then after we have managed to seep deep inside their lives, when we have managed to show them what we are capable of, we are going to be making our next moves.” I said, and my beta raised an eyebrow.
I looked at the door, knowing that our lives were going to be changing the second we stepped outside. Everything was going to be changing, and even those who were under our reign were going to understand that change.
“Now come on, I doubt that it would be very kind of us to keep our guests waiting any longer, wouldn’t you agree?” I asked, looking at Ezio. “It is time to show the world who the new Capo dei Capi is, and more importantly, who their Alpha of Alphas is going to be…”
Aguilar:I smiled as I saw my mate walking inside my room. Her eyes met mine from a distance, and I couldn’t help but find myself smiling as she looked down at her feet, following the rules that Elena most likely taught her.I walked toward her, and put my finger under her chin, making her look me in the eye. I leaned in, pressing my lips against hers, and she smiled. I pulled away to rest my forehead against her own.“I missed you,” I said, and she bit her bottom lip as she stopped her smile. I watched as she chewed the inside of her mouth, and it wasn’t until she looked up at me that I saw her blushing crimson.“I missed you too. I even found myself counting the minutes before I was to come here.” She said, making me smile as she ran her finger over my cheek. She let her finger linger there for a moment and it wasn’t until I leaned in, pressing my lips against hers, that I felt that my world was complete.I knew that she didn’t understand the concept of the mating bond, but I knew o
Liana:“He really asked for her again,” I heard the girls mutter. Some of them looked at me, others looked at one another. And I had to admit, t took everything in me not to respond as I kept Elena’s words in mind, knowing not to fall off them. At least, until I’ve managed to regain her trust.“She might have been right about Allison, he didn’t request for her again. He even kissed her cheek,” another said, looking at Allison. The woman’s eyes met mine and her anger, but she didn’t bother opening her mouth to speak.“You never mentioned how things went between you and the Alpha.” Cecilia said, catching my attention, “was he gentle? They say that he is not very kind sometimes, but he seems to be very sweet when it comes to you. Even you softened toward him. I saw it in your eyes.”“He was very kind,” I said, taking a bite of the rice that was on my plate. “I swear whoever cooks these meals needs to learn how to season them.”“Do you think that you can do better?” One of the girls asked
Aguilar:“When I don’t want someone in my room, I don’t expect to find them in my private chamber without asking them to be here.” I said, glaring at Ian who looked down at his feet. His heart raced against his ribcage, and I could tell that he was doing his best as not to flaunter with his words, wanting to find the right sentence to say as not to press on the mistake that he’s done more than he already has.“Alpha, it was the mother Luna’s order. She was the one who sent your Luna to your private chamber. I had no idea that she was not invited by you.” He said, and I took a deep breath before nodding. I knew how I was going to be handling this from here. If it was mother’s order, then Ian was not to be blamed. Not yet anyway…“You may leave,” I said, watching as the man walked out of the room. I waited for a few moments, giving him time to leave, before leaving my own room. She may be the mother of the pack, but her crossing me was the last thing that I was going to allow. Her or an
Liana:“But the Alpha has requested for me?” I asked, frowning at Ian.“The Alpha is with his woman, his Luna. You are going to be tending to your classes and after that, you are going to go to your new room.” He said, glaring at me. “Now stop being stubborn and tend to what you are told. I do not want to deal with your behavior for the day.”I looked at Elena whose eyes studied my expression. She waited for me to react, but I simply looked down at my feet and nodded. Something would be up, and if anyone knew, it would be her. However, I had to admit, this was not something that I liked. And the clench that I felt in my chest was not one that I found easy to deal with.“Why am I being taken to a new room? I don’t understand?” I asked, and Elena smiled as she put her hand on my shoulder.“You were good, smart, and it seems, after two days, that you caught the Alpha’s attention. While you are still going to be one of the concubines, but rather than being a slave that would be cleaning,
Aguilar:“Miriam, how are you?” I asked, looking at one of the women who stood in front of me, representing her father.“I am honored that you admitted me here. I must admit, after hearing a lot about you, I did not expect you to do so,” she said, watching as I nodded at her to take a seat.“While I am curious of what you heard, I have no reason not to accept you in my home. You came as your father’s representative, and Collin has always been an alley to me, Miriam.” I said, and she nodded. She sat in front of me, both Valdez and Ezio stood, keeping their eyes on her.“Father sent me here as he is ill. He has been for a long while and it is one of the reasons why he failed to attend your ceremony. He would have loved for that to happen, but you know, fate had different plans for him, and they just went a little too out of hand.” She said, and I nodded.“You always have been the political type.” She smiled. I nodded at the men to walk out, leaving the two of us alone. I knew that she w
Liana:I woke up to the bedroom door opening, revealing a concubine whose eyes avoided mine.“Alpha Aguilar left the room.” I said, covering my body with the blanket.“You were requested by the mother Luna.” The maid said, making me frown.“What?” I asked, and she looked up at me.“Get up.” A headmistress, one older than Elena, said, glaring at me. “You heard the concubine; the mother Luna has requested for you to be in her chamber.”“I will get dressed and follow…”“You are to come now.” She said, stopping me.“I am not dressed.”“Then cover yourself with the blanket.” She said, and I took a deep breath. I held the sheets to my body and got up, careful not to expose my body. My eyes met the woman’s, and she forced me to look down at my feet. She walked ahead of me, and two concubines walked a step behind me, making sure that I didn’t run away. They knew that I would, and I had to admit, everything told me to just leave this hellhole that I was going to go to right now.“Stand,” the h
