Scarlett:

I watched as Madeline entered the bedroom, her eyes avoiding mine as she sat on the couch which was inside Alexei’s room. Pulling out her phone, she started scrolling through it, pretending that I didn’t exist.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked, frowning in confusion. Madeline raised an eyebrow, a smile forming on her lips when she looked up at me.

“So, this is the sassy woman that Alexei told me about” Madeline said, making me laugh. I shook my head at her, sitting on the couch by her side, not caring that I was wearing nothing but Alexei’s shirt. The man having changed me in my sleep, I couldn’t believe that I was practically just noticing that now “you need your own clothes”

“Alexei told me that the two of us would be buying them when he’s back from wherever he’s going” I said, resting my back against the armrest “but he said something about ordering them online. Clearly he doesn’t trust me out in public just yet”
