Alexei:

I walked out of the bedroom, heading to my sister’s after Scarlett fell asleep.

Knowing that the two of us were dead exhausted, she didn’t waste time before sleeping in my arms as I ran my fingers through her hair, calming her down from her crying, and despite wanting to sleep beside her, I knew that I had my sister to deal with. The fact that she came unannounced was something I was generally used to. In my opinion, it was her house, and she could come whenever she wanted; but that didn’t mean that she could come and cause unnecessary problems.

I knocked on her bedroom’s door, smelling her scent along with another man’s inside and hearing both their racing heartbeats and low moans. It wasn’t long until she opened it, already knowing that it was me. I pushed the door completely open, seeing as she only opened it halfway, and entered her bedroom to find Romanov, one of my men, on her bed, wearing nothing but the blanket that covered his body.
