“Lia, keep the key with you.” I said, and she frowned in confusion as I handed it to her. Whatever the keys were for, I didn’t want to end up losing them in front of the demon, and him seeing them, regardless of me not knowing what they were going to do, was not something that I wanted.

“What if you need them?” She asked and I shook my head.

“I doubt that I would with the demon. But I think that you would. If they do lock you in, or if something happens to me, use them, or try to at least. I don’t know what they are good for, but I am sure that they would be counting for something if Killian chose to give them to me.” I said and she frowned.

“And you’re trusting Killian?” She asked and I shook my head.

“I am not, but I don’t have a choice but to believe that something that he’s given us might come of good use. To say the least, I will hold onto the idea of him having a source of humanity somewhere.” I said and she frowned but nodded.

“I’m sorry for misjudging you,” she said, ta
