The ride out to the Green Valley Pack was brutally long. Although just a few hours away, the drive felt as if it was going on for an eternity. And, having Anders sitting next to me, holding my hand, rubbing my thigh, and otherwise touching me, was not helping the situation. The mate bond was an interesting and intoxicating thing. I had never been so turned on and felt so close to someone in my entire life. It was an amazing feeling. It was somewhat strange to feel an instant connection to someone, but that was how this worked. AndersGrey was on edge the entire ride back to the Red Moon Pack. The feeling didn’t subside even after an enjoyable night with Harley after getting back. The looming threat was nagging at me. It felt like there was a piece missing, but I wasn’t sure what it was. I was usually good about picking up on the clues in these types of situations and my gut feelings were almost always right. My dad had taught me to trust my instinct, but this situation felt as if there was too much unknown. We had no information about the threat, just that there was one.
