“Damn it!” I yelled, cursing mostly myself for not picking up on the fact that Adam was from the Silver Springs Pack. While I knew that my mom was busy and waiting until after the Luna Ceremony made the most sense for talking to the new guardian wolf, Grey wanted us to talk to him now. I could feel the guardian wolf and we had a connection, so I did not doubt that Adam was a guardian wolf. What concerned me was the fact that he came from the Silver Springs Pack. He would have had to tell Alpha Carlson why he was leaving, which meant that Coral’s location was now known. 

I did not doubt our security or ability to protect the red wolves, but I was still concerned about the threat. There were always holes in even the best security system.
