(Alpha Andrew's POV)

"Good morning, sir," the middle-aged man, Mr. Evans, greeted me, his hand carrying a lamp as the power supply seemed to have blacked out.

"What do you want?" I asked him coldly, my eyes fixed on him, trying to see if he had come to spy on me. After all, the humans cannot be trusted.

"Nothing, sir. I just thought to bring this lamp to you, as the hotel power supply and generator went off because of the heavy rainfall," he said, his voice quivering as he trembled under my scrutiny.

"Leave. It's not needed," I dismissed him coldly, my voice chilling him, and he turned to depart.

"Alright, sir. But how do you like our hotel? You can help us to run a free review to attract more customers." He paused to ask, and I knew that he was up to something.

"Next time," I dismissed him, striding away. He called to my attention.

"Excuse me, sir? How about the lady with you last night? She is not our woman. Did you pay her?" he asked, and I paused.

This was why he was here—to spy on me and to know if I did pay the lady.

I took slow, menacing steps to meet the manager, who cowered backward in fear.

"Sir, I was only just asking to be sure that she is fine. We always check in to see that both patrons are okay," he stuttered as I stood before him.

"Yes." My response was calm. "Do you have a problem with my settling her?"

"No, no, sir. I just want to be sure that she is fine and not dead. Since you are leaving, you will have to wait for me to check on her and see that she is fine," he spluttered, trembling before me.

"Fine. Come with me. I do not have much time to spare." I strode back to the door, my hand reaching for it as I swung it open.

The messy hotel room came into view, with the pretty woman lying on the side of the bed. If I hadn’t returned to check, she would have landed on the hard ground, which would inevitably have jolted her awake.

The thought of her weak body lying on the cold ground until morning made me dart back into the room like a flash.

I didn’t spare a glance at the manager, who stammered, "How do you run so swiftly like that?"

My hand reached for the sleeping figure on the bed. Carefully, I tucked her back under the bed quilt and covered her properly.

I made sure to safeguard her with two pillows on both sides.

"Ugh! Why cover her like that? She’s not a baby," Zion growled, clearly displeased at my actions of caring for the woman.

My heart couldn’t bear the thought of her weak body in the cold. It made my chest tighten.

Done covering her and moving her into the middle of the bed, I turned to the manager, who had wide-open eyes now watching me.

"Done. You can see that she is sleeping and breathing fine. Do you need anything else?" I asked him coldly.

As I took long steps to meet him, he backed away.

"Not at all. I can see that she is fine. I will take my leave now. Thank you for coming to lodge in Dennis Hotel," he says as I shut the door and turned to leave.

"Alright. You can leave. I will keep my eyes on you. If I find out you bullied the woman after my leave, you will regret it." My eyes darkened as I met his brown eyes.

Shivering, Mr. Evans said, "I will give her the best treatment here in our hotel. You have nothing to worry about."

"Alright. I will hold on to your words. And if she asks about me, tell her I am gone," I said calmly before striding off.

"Got it, sir." The manager’s words came from behind, but I left the brothel to catch up with my men on the first floor. We had a four-hour trip to make to the Dark Mountain Pack.

First traveling by taxi, and secondly sailing on the boat to cross over to the other side of the bustling city.

"Alpha, how did it go?" my Gamma, Carlos Connor, asked me. He was 26 years old and my best friend too.

"Fine. Let's go," I ordered them calmly as we stepped out of the brothel to meet the rest of the five men who had accompanied us, just in case we came under attack or were outnumbered.

They were my trained warriors, more like bouncers.

As I stepped out of the Dennis Hotel, the early morning wind greeted me. The city skyline glistened like diamonds across the sky, as it wasn’t yet morning.

The distant sound of a bat howling in the dark caught my attention.

I could see in the dark as the moonlight bathed us and cast a silver glow around the vicinity.

The taxi Steven had ordered arrived and parked in front of us, and we hopped in. Carlos commented,

"Dennis Hotel has the most beautiful courtesan. I cannot get enough of her body. Alpha, can we bring some of these women over to the pack?" Carlos asked, shifting his gaze to peer at me as I sat at the back, going through my phone.

"No," I replied dismissively, not sparing a glance at Carlos.

"You know the rules governing our pack," I replied calmly, my eyes remaining fixed on my phone as I checked the list of things I had to do.

"Alright. The next time we come to this city, I would like to make a short trip to this Dennis Hotel again," Carlos murmured, but I didn’t want to chime in.

Would I like to make a visit here? No. Was I hoping to cross paths with that woman again?

"Maybe…" My cóck hardened with a deep, throbbing desire to claim her. My fist clenched as my mind growled that word.

"Mate!"

"No!" Zion growled behind me.

"She cannot be ours. She is a human. She cannot be our mate!" My wolf refused to accept her. The atmosphere in the car thickened because of my alpha aura.

"Alpha, are you alright?" Steven asked; he sat next to me, and even the driver was having a hard time breathing under the weight of my aura.

"Yes," I breathed out hotly, letting the car window down, my hand resting on the car armrest.

"What happened, Alpha? Your mood got dark?" Steven asked, his tone laced with concern, his eyes on me.

Looking over at Steven’s face, I drew a deep breath. "Calm down, Zion. The human is not our mate!" I growled at my wolf, knowing that his mood affected mine. Can’t we be in synchronization?

"It’s nothing serious," I gritted out to Steven. "Did you get the present for Zoey?" I asked him, my eyes meeting his.

"Of course, Alpha. I selected a beautiful piece of diamond-encrusted necklace and wristwatch for her. Do you want to see it?" Steven inquired, his tone gentle. "Though it’s in the luggage."

"No need. When we get to the pack, hand it over to Zoey," I cut him off. I didn’t want to be the one buying gifts for Zoey. If my mother had not insisted, I wouldn’t even care.

"Alright, Alpha," Steven’s response was calm, and a heavy silence hung in the car, save for the engine as it glided through the road path, slicing through different landscapes and towering buildings until we arrived at the docking piers.

(Jasper's POV):When Dr. Tina and I stepped out of my private suite together, she turned to face me. Her expression was cold as she asked, "Jasper, are you really in love with that human? You know that it's against the pack to fall in love with a human or mate with a human either."She looked at me angrily, her eyes cold as if I had betrayed her, as if she suspected that I was the one who had slept with Martha."Tina, for goodness sake, whoever I have feelings for has nothing to do with you," I replied calmly, but she frowned."You are wasting your time with her. She is not your mate. A human cannot be allowed into the pack. That's a suicide mission. So if you love her, I advise that you let go of her now and move on with your life!" Tina yelled before marching away and striding downstairs.I knew that Tina liked me. But she wasn't my mate. She was hurt to see that I had feelings for someone else. But what was I supposed to do?"What do I do, Ivan? I cannot agree to marry Tina. She is

(Martha's POV):"Hello, Mom? What do you want?" I asked her coldly, knowing that my Dad was the one who had advised me to call her Mom, not knowing that she was a secret killer."Martha, where the hell did you go today? Do you want me to report to your uncles that you are now wandering about the city and doing secret hookups at night since the death of your father?" Sandra asked, sounding like a concerned mother. My uncles would be touched, thinking that she cared, not knowing that she was rejoicing that I hadn't returned home."Not like you care about me. I will be home. But not today. I have some things to take care of," I replied firmly, my thumb reaching to end the call when Sandra yelled."Martha, I want you to come home today. You have to check your wedding dress and get prepared for your wedding with Mark!" she pointed out, and I laughed."Haha! I am not getting married to Mark. Let Elena try on the wedding dress. After all, she has been trying on Mark's dîck. I am sure she can

(Martha's POV):Mr. Weston smiled and entered the room that I had spent my night in. His woody scent surrounded me like a warm blanket as he smiled and replied, "It's a tribal tattoo.""Does Doctor Tina have it too?" I asked, shocked, and he nodded."Yes, but women's tattoos are on their backs. They are meant to carry the pack on their back, while we carry ours on the front," he replied proudly, and my jaw dropped as I continued looking at him in shock."That man, he has the same tattoo. When he mentioned he is from the Dark Mountain Pack, I confronted him about whether he is a werewolf, but he lied to me. Why did he lie to me and sleep with me without protection?" I asked Mr. Weston as my fist clenched at the memory."Was it his plan to get me pregnant? How could he do that knowing he wasn't a human!" I screamed, my body trembling, and Mr. Weston quickly crossed the distance between us and clasped my mouth."Martha, do not forget that you promised not to disclose this to anyone. You

(Alpha Andrew's POV):My expression darkened as my fist clenched at the last memory of wars when I was younger. Many children lost their lives. But that was about twenty-two years ago. The human hunters were searching for our kind.It was a bloody war, but the werewolves joined forces to ensure no human escaped the mountains alive to testify to what they saw."Don't worry. I won't make such mistakes again," I assured Dr. Lance before I pulled his office door open and left. When I stepped out of the pack's infirmary, the night had fallen.Thomas straightened his posture and dismissed a young nurse that he was conversing with, and he asked me, "Are you leaving now, Alpha?""Yes. Let's go," I replied swiftly before entering my car.Thomas jumped into the driver's seat and asked, "Where to, Alpha?""The recreational area as discussed," I replied swiftly, pulling out a stick of cigarette. My mood was dark at the thought that a human could get pregnant by a werewolf. What was I thinking? Ho

(Alpha Andrew's POV):"Got it, Alpha. We have a pack funfair coming up next month to celebrate the second half of the year," Thomas said respectfully as he kept his gaze focused on the road."Got it. That is why I would like to visit there too to ensure that everything is in accordance," I replied calmly, despite my turbulent heart."Alright, Alpha," Thomas said before the rest of the car turned silent.I watched the road, gazing out of the window of my black car. Pack members bowed as they stood by the pedestrian waiting for the road to clear before crossing over.Thomas continued driving for a few more minutes before he pulled up at the pack's infirmary. It was a small building for emergency treatment since we werewolves mostly heal on our own. However, I was building a much larger hospital to accommodate more patients, especially the nursing mothers. My sister's mate, Dr. Lance Gilbert, works in the pack's infirmary. His father, Dan Gilbert, was the former pack doctor before he ret

(Alpha Andrew's POV):Steven's eyes widen in shock when he heard my mother's inquiry as he glanced between me and my mother. "Yes, Luna. I saw her. She was skinny, and it was a miracle that she didn't die from Alpha Andrew's rut.""Andrew, what the hell went wrong with you? Didn't you fear she could have died and you would have been arrested and investigated?" Mom inquired worriedly as she stared at me sadly."Thanks to the moon goddess, the human girl survived. Mom, can you let this matter go? I don't want to discuss this human girl. I already told you I paid the lady, and we cannot find her," I retorted.Steven's eyes widened in shock as he understood that my mother wanted to search for the young lady."Nonsense!" Mom spat and said, "Since you know she was a human, why didn't you use protection? Why did you mate with her and ejaculate in her womb? Steven." Mom shifted her gaze to Steven and declared, "As your Luna, I order you to go back to the city and find that human girl. Ensure
