Masuk(Alpha Andrew's POV)
"Good morning, sir," the middle-aged man greeted me. He carried a lamp in his hand as the power supply seemed to have blacked out. "What do you want?" I asked him coldly. My eyes fixed on him, trying to see if he had come to spy on me. After all, humans cannot be trusted. "Nothing, sir. I just thought to bring this lamp to you as the hotel power supply and generator went off because of the heavy rainfall," he replied, his voice quivering as he trembled under my scrutiny. "Leave. It's not needed," I dismissed him coldly. My voice chilled him, and he turned on his heels. "Alright, sir. But how do you like the hotel? You can help us leave a free review online to attract more customers," he paused to ask, and I knew he was up to something. "Next time," I dismissed him, striding away. He called to my attention. "Excuse me, sir? How about the lady with you last night? She is not one of our women. Did you pay her?" he asked, and I paused. This was why he was here. To spy on me and to know if I had paid the lady. I took slow, menacing steps to meet the manager, who cowered back in fear. "Sir, I was only just asking to be sure that she is fine. We always check in to see that both patrons are okay," he stuttered as I stood before him. "Yes." I responded calmly. "Do you have a problem with my settling her?" "No, no, sir. I just want to be sure that she is fine and not dead. Since you are leaving, you will have to wait for me to check on her and see that she is fine," he spluttered, trembling before me. "Fine. Come with me. I do not have much time to spare." I strode back to the door. My hand reached for it as I swung the door open. The messy hotel room came into view. The pretty woman lay on her side on the bed. If I hadn't returned to check, she would have landed on the hard ground, which would inevitably jolt her awake. The thought of her weak body lying on the cold ground until morning made me dart back into the room like a flash. I didn't spare a glance at the manager, who stammered, "How do you run so swiftly like that?" My hand reached for the sleeping figure on the bed. Carefully, I tucked her back under the bed quilt and covered her properly. I ensured to safeguard her with two pillows on both sides. "Ugh! Why cover her like that? She isn't a baby," Zion growled, clearly displeased at my actions of caring for the woman. My heart couldn't bear the thought of a weak body in the cold. It made my chest tighten. After covering her and moving her to the middle of the bed, I turned to the manager, who had wide-open eyes now watching me. "Done. You can see that she is safe and breathing. Do you need anything else?" I asked him coldly. As I took long steps to meet him, he backed away. "Not at all. I can see that she is fine. I will take my leave now. Thank you for coming to lodge in Dennis Hotel," he said as I shut the door and turned to leave. "Alright. You can leave. I will keep my eyes on you. If I find out you bullied the woman after my leave, you will regret it." My eyes darkened as I met his brown eyes. Shivering, he said, "I will give her the best treatment here in our hotel. You have nothing to worry about." "I will hold onto your words. And if she asks about me, tell her I am gone," I said calmly before striding off. "Got it, sir." The manager's words came from behind, but I left the brothel to catch up with my men on the first floor. We had a four-hour trip to make to the Dark Mountain Pack. First, we would travel by taxi, and second, we would sail on the boat to cross over to the other side of the bustling city. "Alpha, how did it go?" My Gamma, Carlos Connor, asked me. He was 26, tall, and dark-skinned like me. "Fine. Let's go," I ordered them calmly as we stepped out of the brothel to meet the rest of the five men who had accompanied us, just in case we came under attack or we were outnumbered. They were my trained warriors, more like bouncers. As I stepped out of the Dennis Hotel, the early morning wind greeted me. The city skyline glistened like diamonds across the sky as it wasn't yet morning. The distant sound of bats howling in the dark caught my attention. I could see in the dark as the moonlight bathed us and cast a silver glow around the vicinity. The taxi Steven had ordered arrived and parked in front of us, and we hopped in. Carlos commented: "Dennis Hotel has the most beautiful courtesan. I cannot get enough of her body. Alpha, can we bring some of these women over to the pack?" he asked, shifting his gaze to peer at my face as I sat at the back, going through my phone. "No," I replied dismissively, not sparing a glance at Carlos. "You know the rules governing our pack," I replied calmly. My eyes remained fixed on my phone as I checked the list of things I had to do. "Alright. When next we come to this city, I will like to make a short trip to this Dennis Hotel again," Carlos murmured, but I didn't want to chime in. Will I like to make a visit here? No. Was I hoping to cross paths with that woman again? My cọck hardened with a deep, throbbing desire to claim her. My fist clenched as my mind growled that word. "Mate!" "No!" Zion growled behind me. "She cannot be ours. She is a human. She cannot be our mate!" My wolf refused to accept her. The atmosphere in the car thickened because of my alpha aura. "Alpha, are you alright?" Steven asked. He sat next to me, and even the driver had a hard time breathing under the weight of my aura. "Yes," I breathed out hotly, letting the car window down. My hand rested on the car armrest. "What happened, Alpha? Your mood got dark?" Steven asked, his tone laced with concern. His eyes fixed on me. Looking over at Steven's face, I drew a deep breath. "Calm down, Zion. The human is not our mate!" I growled at my wolf, knowing that his mood affected mine. Can't we be in synchronization? "It's nothing serious," I gritted out to Steven. "Did you get the present for Zoey?" I asked him, my eyes meeting his eyes. "Of course, Alpha. I selected a beautiful piece of diamond-encrusted necklace and wristwatch for her. Do you want to see it?" Steven inquired, his tone gentle. "Though it's in the luggage." "No need. When we get to the pack, hand it over to Zoey," I cut him off. I didn't want to be the one buying gifts for Zoey. If my mother hadn't insisted, I wouldn't even care. "Alright, Alpha," Steven's response was calm, and a heavy silence hung in the car, save for the engine as it glided through the road path, slicing through different landscapes and towering buildings until we arrived at the docking piers.ALPHA ANDREWI smiled, watching Piper and Rory get down from my thighs. They wore similar white tops and black skirts and shorts, paired with black sandals on their feet."You can let the kids play. They're like my kids," I responded to my sister's remarks as she approached my desk and set the basket of fruits on it.The basket was filled with grapefruits, oranges, and apples."Good afternoon, brother. I know. But they can be playful sometimes too and spoil some things on your desk," Judith said with a smile, standing behind my desk while Piper went to pick up an apple."Uncle Andrew, should I wash this fruit for you? It's sweet?" she asked, holding the apple in her hands."Sure. Go and wash it. The basin is over there," I gestured, but my sister grasped Piper's hand back and said, "No washing of the fruits. Don't you see that we are in an office? Do you want to ruin your uncle's files?"Piper pouted her pink lips. Her face turned red as she responded, "Uncle asked me to wash it."I r
ALPHA ANDREW'S POV:I sat in my office chair, going through the pack report ahead of the fun fair we had scheduled for the upcoming weekend, when my phone chimed.I pulled it out of my trousers pocket, thinking it was just a regular message. But my eyes widened when I saw a bank debit of 3 million."What? Who debited 3 million from my account?" I asked aloud. My office door swung open, and Steven rushed in."Alpha, is anything wrong?" he asked, meeting my gaze.Steven stood in a red shirt and black trousers. My brows furrowed as I looked away from his face and to the phone in my hand."No. Find out who withdrew this money from my account.""What? Who dares to do that?" Steven said, stepping forward to check the message."I don't know. These days, I tend to forget. Did we allocate money for anything ahead of the funfair?" I asked, giving Steven my phone as I ran my hand over my face and through my long dark hair.Alpha Bennett was of the opinion that if I wanted to court his daughter,
MARTHA'S POV:When we arrived at the fifth floor, Mr. Kingston led me to my new office and unlocked the vast wooden door for me."Miss, here is your office," he said with a respectful bow."Thank you," I replied, stepping into the spacious room. The office featured a vast wooden desk and a posh black swiveling chair. It also had floor-to-ceiling windows with protective glass. The walls were painted white, and I found it lovely."Thank you," I said, turning to Mr. Kingston as Joshua stood aside."Alright. Will you be needing anything, miss? This office is still new—no one has used it," Mr. Kingston explained, his tone polite."Alright. Let me see my father's office." I moved away from admiring my new office and stepped out of the door, with Joshua and Emmanuel following me.When we arrived at my father's office on the fifth floor, Emmanuel explained, "Miss, your stepmother used this office during her stay here."I nodded and moved into the office. My fist clenched by my side, knowing t
MARTHA'S POV:Elena's face was red with fury. Emmanuel glanced at her and at Mark before he cleared his throat and explained, "Miss, I am sorry, I don't know you. But before your father died, he called me to his office and explained to me that he already made it clear to the board that I cannot be fired until Martha takes over, and only she can decide to fire me or let me go. I also have proof of your father's will and a voice recording that your father willed his company to Martha. Would you like to see it?"Elena's face darkened, and Mark's jaw tightened as everyone stood still. I had no idea that my dad had already arranged for me to take over the company. Obviously, he didn't trust Barrister Williams alone. And also, his assistant, Mr. Elliot—I saw him lower his head."Yes. Let's see it. You are lying! How about the evidence is fake? I don't believe you!" Elena shouted like a lunatic, and she stepped forward. "My father cannot will his company to Martha. How much did she pay you t
MARTHA'S POV:When I stepped out of the house with Mr. Weston, I spotted a tall man in black clothing standing there. He wore a black top, black leather trousers, and black boots. His arms were three times bigger than a normal man's, and he had a sharp jawline. He was a Black-skinned man.I trembled, wondering if the man was a werewolf, but Mr. Weston had assured me the previous night that he was hiring a human to work for me as my personal bodyguard."Good morning, sir," the man greeted Mr. Weston with a smile, before shifting his gaze to look at me. I met his black eyes and greeted him too. "Good morning.""Morning, miss," he said. Then Mr. Weston chimed in with his deep voice."Martha, here is Joshua Brown. I hired him as your personal bodyguard to keep watch for you.""Joshua, here is Martha Roger. You have to keep watch for her at most times and follow her about—except to the bathroom and toilet. But be sure to search for any possible harm," Mr. Weston said, his voice firm and hi
Martha's POVThe knocking on the door pulled me out of my weird dream. In the dream, I was riding on a mighty black wolf with thick fur. He carried me on his back, riding and running faster. His paws hit the ground before he carefully dropped me.I stared at the wolf's face, caressing his head like he was a pet."Martha! Martha!" The loud voice pulled me back to reality, and I awoke, drenched with heat on the bed.I have been dreaming about wolves and forests since I met that attractive stranger at Dennis Hotel. How would I not dream about wolves when I was surrounded by werewolves too?I quickly got out of bed, throwing the quilt away when my gaze landed on the wall clock. I saw that it was 8 am. Damn it. I had overslept, as I didn't want to wake up from that dream.Surprisingly, the wolf was like an obedient pet. He wasn't scary, even when I knew that I would pass out from shock if I got to meet a real-life wolf.Snapping out of my insane thoughts, I rushed to the door and swung it
(Alpha Andrew's POV)The taxi tires screeched to a halt, and I flung my side door open and got out.Steven settled the fare as I strode off to my exclusive yacht waiting at the dock to take us to the Dark Mountain Pack. It was a sleek black yacht with a modern and captivating interior. The Dark Mou
MARTHA:When I woke up in the bed, I sat up, stunned as the events of the previous night slammed into me like a wave. “Oh my goodness!” I gasped, shocked to see myself nàked on the bed. The man? The tattoo? The golden-coloured eyes? Was it all a dream? I trembled as I quickly rushed int
MARTHA:Mr. Weston smiled. His lips curled up in a smirk as he said, "I am Jasper Weston. Do you need me to do a formal introduction? This is my Restaurant and Martha is my worker. I saw everything and I am not firing her. Do you want to still proceed to contact the cops? Feel free."Sandra sneered
MARTHA:It was a yellow oversized dress but three-quarter length with short sleeves. Sighing, I slipped on the yellow dress as I knew that Judith had bought such an oversized dress for me on purpose. I wore it, picked up my white apron and tied it around my waist as I stepped out of the changing r
