ALPHA ANDREW

I could smell the human's anxiety. It didn't occur to me that the humans were aware of us. At least, not many of them believe in the existence of wolves. So, I was shocked when she connected the dots and suspected that I was a real werewolf.

The way her eyes had widened in horror, it was evident that she didn't want to pleasure me, and I cannot bring myself to force her or use my alpha pheromones to seduce her.

I love for my women to seduce me. To try to win Zion and me and not the other way around.

"Strip," I commanded her, and I watched how her hands trembled to take off my coat.

When I swung the door open, I met a young lady standing there with a tray of food and drinks in her hands.

The human women are just like our women, only that they were easily attracted to men, while our women were attracted for two reasons. One, to mate for money. Two, only because of the mate bond.

Once the staff left, the door shut, and my phone vibrated with an incoming call.

Now that I was out of the Dark Mountain Pack, even as there were other werewolf territories around, I knew the pack could come under attack.

So, I went to pick up my phone from my trousers, and I saw my mother's name on the screen.

"Andrew, where are you? The rainfall is too much. Are you sure you will still make it home tonight?"

"Mom, I am an alpha and I am not afraid of the rainfall. It's only that I had to take a break because of my men. We stopped by a brothel in the city," I replied calmly.

The door creaked open, and I watched the woman step out. I did not ask for her name, but I knew that she was uncomfortable around me.

"Andrew, you have to be careful of those humans. Even though we do business with the humans, they cannot be trusted. If they learn that you're a werewolf, they might launch an attack on you," Mom said worriedly, and I groaned.

"Got it, Mom. I want to have some rest. I will be home before sunrise," I replied.

"Alright. I hope you got a present for Zoey. She loves you, and it's time to make her your Luna since you do not have a mate," Mom said, and I groaned again.

"Oh, Mom, I already told you that I cannot marry Zoey. I will only accept to make my mate the Luna," I said, my voice firm.

I caught the woman's eyes on me at the mention of Luna. She trembled and peered at me with suspicion, but seeing my gaze on her, she swiftly looked away and stood in the corner as she waited for me to finish my call.

Her hands firmly clutched the towel around her chest, as she stood with unease and squeezed her thighs together.

"Andrew," Mom growled my name and said, "You're 28 years old. You're old enough to start your own family. For how long do you want to remain single? Ensure that you bring a present for Zoey, or I will send you back."

"Don't worry, Mom. When I get home, we'll settle this. Goodnight," I replied and ended the call.

My eyes darted to peer at the young woman who looked at my face.

"Are you done bathing? You can have your seat. Let me go and bathe, and I will join you soon," I rose to my feet, and she stepped backward to create a space between us.

"You do not have to be scared of me," I said calmly, and she nodded. Her head lowered, peering at her feet.

"I ordered chicken pepper soup, but I do not know if it's your favourite. Make yourself comfortable." I gestured to the meal in the room as I strode to the bathroom to shower.

I knew that she was probably hungry, and it wouldn't be nice of me to mate with her in that weak form. She would pass out, because our women often faint from my pleasure.

Second, he doesn't support me in mating with any random woman, as he desires his mate.

He wants only our mate to take our rut, and he feels she would be heartbroken that he cheated on her. That we both cheated on her.

But this is our 28th year of living, yet we haven't met our mate.

What if our mate is a human? Can that human girl be my mate?

"No way. Our mate will be a werewolf. Though the human smells nice, and she's the first woman whose scent I like, she cannot be our mate," Zion growled, his voice lacking confidence like before.

"Relax, let's enjoy the night. If she is my mate, I will find out," I replied to Zion, before taking off my boxers and getting into the water in the bathtub.

I used the same sponge as that woman had used. Her citrus scent made me enjoy the feel of the sponge over my body.

After bathing, I turned on the shower and stepped out.

Though my mind raced, wondering if that woman had run away. After all, she was scared of me.

I knew I would be disappointed if she fled the room before I finished with my bath.

But I was pleased to see her having her dinner as I walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a pristine white towel around my waist to meet her.
