CHAPTER 4

At night I got to my room, and I met Dad sitting on the bed, seeing him I already knew I was in trouble, I bowed my head down as I towards him.

I can feel His eyes fixated on me and my heart raced.

“You sneak out again, Hola… haven’t I warned you to stop sneaking out?” He questioned, furiously.

“I’m sorry, Dad,” I muttered.

“Sorry for yourself, why are you so stubborn? I know you aren’t a princess but I used to treat you like a princess… I told you that you could go out around the pack but don’t go to the forest alone” He said, glaring daggers at me.

“I have grown up,  I can go wherever I…”

I didn’t complete my statement when a slap landed on my face, tears streamed down my face.

“Dad, this is the second time you slapped me… why did you hate me so much?” I said in tears.

He didn’t say anything, he glared at me and left.

I wiped my tears away and climbed onto the bed. Not long after, I heard a knock on the door and I heard Finn calling me but I didn’t answer.

“Hola, can you please open the door?” He said but I didn’t answer.

Tears rolled down my cheek.

“Hola” He called once more

I got down from the bed and walked towards the door. When I opened the door I met Finn standing in front of me, he hugged me and my wolf whimpered. We disengaged from the hug.

“It’s okay,” He said and I nodded slowly.

“Let’s go for training,” He said, gazing at him.

“I’m not going,” I said as I went back inside.

He followed suit,

“Hola, you know you need to go for training… please let’s go,” He said, holding my hands.

“Okay, fine” I gave in.

we left.

When we got to the forest, my friends were already there waiting for me.

“Hola,” Rain called and hugged me

“Hi, Hola,” Fantasia said and I responded.

I was busy speaking with my friends when I saw Storm and his sister Raquel, I turned to him, my emerald yellow eyes gazing into his blue ones. 

He doesn’t talk or smile, he keeps a hard face.

Fantasia smiled and wrapped her hands around my arm, squeezing it tightly.

“You’re okay?” She asked and I nodded.

“It’s time for the training.” A woman announced and immediately we transformed into our forms.

We jumped into the woods and started running speedily. I was still running when my mind drifted to Archer I saw in the forest.

“Why did he say our pack can’t be together” I asked rhetorically.

My leg hit the rock and I fell, my friends stopped and transformed back into human form rushing towards me.

“Hola” Finn called and rushed towards me.

"Girl, what’s wrong? ?" Rain and Fantasia both asked.

They used clothes to cover my naked body.

"Yeah," I responded with an embrace when I saw Storm staring at me while his sister Raquel was smiling.

I was so embarrassed seeing Raquel trying to hold her laughter.

I can't believe this happened to me in front of everyone. After my friends helped me up, I couldn't contain my embarrassment so I ran out of the forest, running to the lake.

When I got there, I stared at the lake for a long time.  Lost in my thoughts I didn't notice when Finn, who is my childhood friend, showed up.  He sat down next to me and glanced at me, then dropped a bag on the floor.

“I hope you are okay, Hola,” He said.

His eyes fixed on me.

“Yeah, what is this?” I asked.

I moved closer to the bag ed it and saw my dress, I smiled.

“Thanks, Finn,” I said and he nodded.

He excused me so that I could get dressed.

As soon as I was done, I walked out of the lake and headed straight to where my friends were. I was glancing around if I would see Fantasia and Rain when Raquel showed up, she smirked and folded her hands beneath her breast.

“Did you just lose the race or I am daydreaming… the daughter of the leader of the pack lost a race. What were you thinking when you were running?” She said and laughed.

“Raquel, what do you want?” I asked with a frown.

She was about to say something when Storm called her.

“I’m coming, bro,” She said and glared at me before leaving.

Finn walked towards me.

“I have been searching for you, I thought you were still at the lake,” He said, gazing at me.

“No,” I said and shook my head.

We were talking when the woman told us the training was over so we could go home. I tried calling Rain’s number but she wasn’t picking up.

I left with Finn, we were on our way home when we bumped into Archer, I smiled when I saw it was him.

“Hi, Archer,” I said but his eyes were fixed on Finn.

'Is he jealous that I was with Finn?' I thought.

I was about to say something when he walked away, I sighed out loud.

“Who is he?” Finn asked as we were walking.

“A friend,” I replied.

“I don’t think I have seen him before, is he from this pack” He asked but I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't bother to answer

He tapped me, jolting me out of my thoughts,

“Why are you so lost?” He asked, facing me.

“Nothing” I replied.

Hours Later***

We got home and headed straight into our rooms. Getting to my room I met Mom in the room sitting on the bed.

“Hello, mom,” I said as I walked towards her.

“Hola, I heard you lost the race,” She said and I was shocked.

“How did she know? I hope Dad hasn't found out because if he knows I am dead” I thought.

“Hola,” Mom chanted.

“It’s true, mom… I am sorry” I said, having my eyes glued to the floor.

“Sorry for yourself, you know your dad must not find out about it,” She said, furiously.

“Mom, I am sorry,” I said.

“Don’t worry, I will speak with him,” She said.

“Thanks, Mom,” I said and hugged her.

“Promise me, you won’t lose the race again and you will train very well,” She said, gazing at me.

“I promise,” I said with a smiled

She smiled and left.
