Chapter 89

Arthur’s POV

I dismissed the meeting upon hearing that Sebastian had been found.

“Bring him to the house immediately,” I ordered Oliver.

“Yes, Alpha.” He obeys and goes to get him.

Sebastian is the one person that we have been waiting for to go against Luke.

Luke hasn’t been found, neither has he been seen in any place or anywhere.

But he shouldn’t worry. He can’t hide for too long. I will come for him, and this time, he will not see me coming.

This will be the last time he wi

Chapter 91 Arthur’s POVLuke is right in front of me, with nowhere to escape to. I have punched and hit him in every way that can bring satisfaction to my aching heart. For a moment I stand over him, the noise of the ruined safe house fading into the background. Luke is bloodied and on his knees, the last of his men are already down, the last of his structure finally broken. All this time, Luke has been the one who has been authorizing the experiments. “Dr Reyes is just the face of the organization. The master mind of everything is Luke.” Sebastian had explained everything to us back at home, in the war room. Luke is the one who sent Justin into my life. He’s the one whose war has taken Tori away from him. Every path of the last months has led to this exact place. It gives me more reason to hate him and want to kill him the more. Jayden keeps his weapon raised, eyes moving between the exits. “All clear on the left corridor. No one’s coming.” He notifies me. Oliver’s voice co

Chapter 90 Luke’s POVSitting alone in the dim lower chamber of the safe lower, feeling lonely, sad, depressed, and devastated. “I killed Justin.” Justin's murderer’s words keep ringing in my head. Even the half-empty glass of liquor that’s untouched on the table can’t ease the growing grief in my heart. Justin is truly gone. It’s not rumors or partial accounts, it’s the truth. She’s dead and that siren bitch killed her. How heartless can she be? Justin gave up all the information she had been ordered to protect, the organization, the base, our family, me. “Justin is gone.” The words creep out of my mouth in a whisper. My hands are trembling and I hold them together to force them to stay still. In the cold quiet of the room, grief comes for me in ugly, choking waves. He has built an entire system on control and distance, on treating every asset as expendable when necessary, but Justin has never been only an asset, she’s my blood. The one thing in my carefully constructed worl

Chapter 89 Arthur’s POVI dismissed the meeting upon hearing that Sebastian had been found. This will be the last time he will escape from my hands. He will be dead before he even attempts to flee. For the vampire we captured a long time ago, we have given them the cure that we made. They are responding to it, but according to Oliver and Doc, they need to hear the command of their creator before they can fully recover. That’s why we haven’t been able to take them for the fights we’ve been going for. “We have Sebastian now. We will go for Luke as soon as we can.” I tell Jayden. He agrees with me. I texted Ainsle

Chapter 88Arthur’s POV “Oliver, I need your help with something,” I call Oliver away from the pack warriors he’s instructing on security. “Yeah, what's up?” He asked me. He sounds much better than the last two weeks. Since Mom’s passing, everyone has been trying to stay busy, doing one or two things. Jayden stays at home with Ainsley so she won’t do anything stupid, like killing herself. And Ainsley has been insanely busy. She’s been cleaning the whole house. Doing everything. This morning, we were in the kitchen. Ainsley is cleaning the kitchen, again. “I thought you cleaned the cabinet yesterday.” Oliver had to ask her. “Yeah. Well, it doesn’t look clean enough.” She answered, without making eye contact with anyone. I don’t blame her. Mom never let a single speck of dust lie in the kitchen or around the house when she was alive. I snap out of my thoughts. “Um, Oliver. It’s about Justin’s body.” He didn’t seem fazed when I said that. “What do you want to do with it?” H

  • Alpha Arthur   Now, what to do with Justin?

Chapter 87 Arthur’s POVI remain still at the edge of the clearing with my hands by my sides, the cold evening air pressing against my face. The pack has gathered in near silence among the trees behind the estate, where the ground is soft and the canopy opens just enough to let the fading light through. Two graves have been prepared side by side. One is Adrian’s and the other is for Tori. The earth is still dark and freshly turned, waiting.I hear Tori’s voice from years ago, calm and firm when the subject has come up after a distant relative’s passing. “Fire takes too much,” she said. “If you love someone, you give them back to the earth. You let them rest where the roots can find them.”It’s one of the few things she always stands firm about. So there would be no pyre for her, nor rising smoke against the sky. Only the ground, and the quiet, and Adrian waiting beside her.“This feels unreal.” I hear Kylian's voice. It’s the first time he’s spoken to me since we left the organiz

  • Alpha Arthur   Numb and shallow now...

Chapter 86Arthur's POVThe night air hits us as we step through the outer doors. It is cold and clean after the facility's metallic stench, the sky above the treeline is clear, scattered with stars that feel indifferent to everything that has happened beneath us. Vehicles waited in a loose line just beyond the perimeter, engines running, headlights cutting pale paths through the dark. More pack members stood near us in tense, quiet clusters. They loaded Tori into the lead vehicle with careful hands.Kylian climbed in beside her immediately, not moving away. I sit in the seat across from them, elbows on my knees, hands hanging uselessly between them. Olive refuses to let me drive the car, “You should be close to her.” He insists and I agree with me. What bothers me the most is how Tori and Tori’s last conversation went. I remember that I warned her to not lay a finger on my mate. Not only did she lay a finger on my mate, but she killed her. For that moment, I had a strong feelin
