MasukChapter 6
Arthur’s POV We just got home, except for Oliver. He insisted on staying back to make sure those bastards are dead. I go straight to my room because I can’t stop thinking about the vampire and their attacks on werewolves. I just don’t understand. What is really going on with the vampires and their sudden urge for revenge. Tori walks in with a bowl of water and towel. She knees infront of me, takes my hands and starts to clean the blood on it. “You don’t have to do this Tori, I’m fine. The blood isn’t even mine. I’m not hurt.” I complain, but she ignores me. I can see how shaky her hands are. She’s terrified. I did what had to be done. “I’m sorry.” Tori apologize. Here we go again with the fellow feelings. Tori blames herself for my behavior. She thinks I will be as brutal as how my father was, when I become an alpha. “I’m sorry I left you here at such a young age. No child deserves to be deprived of his mother’s love. You don’t deserve it.” Tori tells me as she keeps cleaning my hands. “Tori, your absence here, has nothing to do with who I am and how I am. It made me a better person. A stronger alpha.” It is my destiny to become the greatest and strongest Alpha of all time. And my mother’s presence wouldn’t have made that possible. “I know that. Your father use to say that my soft nature would be the death of me one day. It’s true.” Tori defy herself, again. “You would always get seriously sick anytime you leave this pack. I had no choice but to bring you back here.” Tori explains again. I have heard this story over and over again. But I don’t blame her. My father was the most mischievous and cruel alpha anyone could be mated too. But I learnt a lot from him. “I’m not mad at you Tori. You did what was best for the both of us. I’m glad you both are retired and that you’re with Adrian. I’m sure that you’re safe with him. You are welcome to the pack, for as long as you want.” I tell Tori, convincing her to stop blaming herself and to stop her from coming down to tears. Tori smiles as I say those consoling words to her. I hope we don’t have this conversation again. “Thank you Arthur. Even though it’s not possible for the long stay, we would come from time to time.” Of course I knew it wouldn’t be possible for the long stay. I just said it to stop the strength-draining, emotional conversation. It is said that when an Alpha retires from his pack, it is forbidden for him to stay in the pack. He has to join another pack as a new and retired member, but not as an alpha. That’s what my father did when he was forced to retire and voted out of power. I was ordained to take over by the pack members. Tori sits on the bed beside me, smiling at me. “Moving past that. Have you seen anyone you like?” Tori asks as she’s trying to know if I have found my mate. Suddenly I hear the girl’s name in my head. “Justin.” It wasn’t my wolf. He’s calm and settled, not as stirred up as he was when we first saw her. “I only asked because you’re seventeen years old now. You should have started to feel the longing of finding your mate or being drawn to her.” Tori says. I do feel strongly drawn to Justin. Even my wolf can testify to that. But why is my mate a human? What is the moon goddess trying to do with me? Is it a punishment or what? Is she truly my mate or have I mistaken her for someone else? Maybe if I reject Justin, I will be fated to another. What if I was fated to Ainsley? That will be the worse moment of my life. This girl, Justin, she distracts my mind from focusing. I get restless everytime I think of her. Her dark hair that falls down passed her shoulder. Her scent like vanilla and apple-scented. Her intriguing, epic green eyes. She’s not the one to restrain from. I’m so lost in thought that I forgot Tori is waiting for an answer. “It’s alright if you don’t want to talk about her. I’m not going to force you to.” Tori says as she gets up to leave the room. “There’s this annoying girl. She wouldn’t leave me alone.” I first talk about Ainsley. “You don’t seem to like her.” Tori says as she sits back close to me on the bed. “I don’t. I keep her, to keep away the others.” I respond with disgust. “But.” I continue, looking straight into Tori’s eyes to be sure that she tells me the truth. “What do you know about being mated to a human?” Tori becomes stiff in her position and seems really shocked. “What did you just say?” She ask in a low stiff tone I truly hate to repeat myself. Not that you’re deaf that you are asking me to repeat myself for the second time. For the sake of being my mother and seeking the truth, i asked again. “Is it possible to be mated to a human?” Tori seems not to be comfortable suiting on the bed. She draws the chair in my room and sits in front of me. She rubs her hands together, breaths in and out, trying to find the words and answer to my question. It can’t be that bad. I mean, the moon goddess must have had her reasons for mating me with a human. Right? Was it a bad idea to ask Tori? How bad can it be to be mated to a human? Maybe I should have just kept it to myself and find the answers myself. Tori’s restless movement is making me feel odd.Chapter 54 Arthur’s POV “Fuck!” Oliver growls as Jayden tries to massage his shoulder. “This is all your fault.” Oliver blames him. “You shouldn’t have been romancing my mate.” Jayden objects. “I didn’t know she was your mate, dipshit.” “Fuck you.” “No, fuck you.” Jayden pressed Oliver’s shoulder harder and it made him scream out in agony. I focus back on my laptop and keep scanning through the files that we had extracted. I see a clip, and I click on it. I see a man bound in strong chains hanging from the ceiling. “What the fuck?” I draw others’ attention and they rush to see what I’m looking at. “Is that the father of all vampires?” Jayden asks “Yes.” I groan. That’s Sebastian, the father and creator of all vampires. I heard stories about him from my Father. How he was blessed with the gift of immortality and recreation of his kind. One bite from him and you become a vampire. He was said to have gone into exile since no one has seen or heard from him in a very long
Chapter 53 Arthur’s POV It’s been days, and we still haven't gotten to Dr Reyes. I don’t even know what to do at this point. We have no clue about his whereabouts. It’s like he’s mysteriously disappeared from this world, along with Luke, Justin’s mom, and his other child. Even his pets are nowhere to be found. “This is frustrating,” Oliver complains. “You tell me. I have my Mom on my ass, every day. She keeps asking when we are going to get Justin out of here.” I told him. “She’s right. We don’t know why they have decided to leave their daughter here. She might be sending information to them.” “Or not. It’s been two weeks since she got here and she hasn’t been out of the room more than two times.” He sighs and keeps typing on his laptop. I really wish everyone would just try to understand that I can’t just send her to her selfish father. I don’t know what he would do to her and I can’t let her go. If she dies, or anything bad happens to her, I would
Hi, so I missed chapter 22 in earlier chapters. But I've made it available now for free, sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.😖Chapter 22Arthur’s POVI keep struggling with the ropes that these morons have used to hold me down. They wouldn’t stand a chance with me if I wasn’t subdue. One of the masked men looks at me, and laughs. “I’ve been told that you’re the strongest. Guess every strong man has their weakness. You can’t even get out of the ropes.” He mockingly says. I bet he knows who I am, and what he’s doing. He will regret what he is doing. “Where is Justin? What have you done with her?” I furiously ask. “Don’t worry about her. She’s okay. You should be worried about yourself.” He laughs again. My wolf isn’t calm at all. He keeps threatening to kill me if Justin is dead. Picking the masked men scents, they smell nothing like vampires or werewolves. They are mere humans, who know everything about me and my kind. I keep struggling to contain my wolf. It’s
Chapter 52 Arthur’s POVWhen we get home, my mom runs to me and hugs me so tight. I know she was really scared. She went to Adrian and they did their lovey-dovey whatever. We go to the house and talk about everything that happened in the research lab. “Dr Reyes shouldn’t be hard to find,” Kylian says after I told them that he escaped. “I hope so,” I say. Oliver throws himself into the files he had extracted from the lab and he’s doing so many experiments. He’s a nerd, he hates when I call him that. Ainsley tried to assist him in any way possible. She’s quite the brainiac too. I go to see Justin. It’s time she starts to speak, she’s getting too comfortable here. I open the door to the room she’s staying in. She flitch immediately. I guess she expected me to knock like I did the last time. No won’t do, Pretty. “We need to talk. Sit.” I ordered her. She sits obediently, she’s a little scared but confident enough to look me in the eyes. I didn’t take anyone with me. This is

Chapter 50 Arthur’s POVI walk out of the room where Justin was. I feel like a bus had just run into me. My heart feels numb and blunt. I can’t even think straight. All I want is a mate. And the moon goddess thought it was a good idea to give me a human. Not just any human, the enemy herself. My heart hammers against my chest. This is not fair. My phone starts to ring, it’s one of the border patrol men. What is it now? “I’m sorry to bother you, Alpha.” He starts. “Then why bother me?” I angrily cut him off. “The vampires are on the other side of the border. There are many, but they are not attacking.” “I’ll be on my way. Stand down and be alert.” I order him and end the call. I didn’t even have time to change my clothes, I might have to rip them off to kill those bastards. I get downstairs, “Oliver, let’s go.” I told him. My Mom tried to stop me to ask what was happening, but I didn't have time to explain. Adrian insisted on going with me and I agree. I’ll need all hands o
