LOGINJustin’s POV
My mom turns off her truck's engine at the school park, waiting for me to get out. I don’t want to, I’m having a funky feeling about this school. “Please, Justin get out of my car. You don’t want me to be late for my first day of work.” “I can come to work with you.” “I’m working for you to have a better life and go to a good school like this one.” “I really don’t think changing my school will make it anymore easy for me”. “Yes, it will, Justin. On the bright side, you will be “the new girl”. “I’ve been the new girl all my life”. “Just get the fuck out of my car, I’ve got work to do, remember we need money for the house we are staying in and food to eat. I love you”. I’ve been to four schools all my sixteen years of living on this depressing, fascinating planet and it’s the same as always. Awkward looks from everyone, side muttering, girls giggling at what only fuck knows. I don’t really care, I know how to deal with all sides of a teenager. It’s my superpower. I went straight to the principal's office, it wasn’t hard to find. “Welcome Miss Justin Reyes, this is your home room teacher, Mrs Smith. If you need anything, don’t be a stranger.” “Thank you, ma’am.” I turn to Mrs Smith, she is really beautiful and she smells nice too. “So, Miss Justin Reyes, I hope you’re not the type to parade around the school with bad grades.” She didn’t sound like she was asking a question, and I don’t like to be close to my teachers. Students will think my good grades are coming from their generosity. “It’s Justin, ma’am.” I tell her, trying not to prolong whatever conversation she’s trying to stir up. We got to class, I stood outside for a while as Mrs Smith put the class in order, she’s a disciplinarian I must say. “Please come in.” I walked into the class and stood by her side. It’s the same way and format of introduction at every new school that I have been to. I would be asked to say my name, what I like, and if I’m friendly or not. I would say I’m friendly but will end up with one nosy friend who would backstab me. To my surprise, Mrs Smith did the introduction for me. I guess she thought I wouldn’t want to. “There, go sit close to Arthur, he will help you catch up with us.” I turned to find this fine, good-looking, handsome guy staring at me, but immediately Mrs Smith directed me to the seat beside him, he stared deep into her eyes and she changed my seat. “Or you can meet during lunch break, whatever works for you.” Yeah, I don’t think I would want to sit with him after that. I was walking to the seat I was given, and this guy was still staring at me. Maybe he knows me from somewhere, or do I have something on my face? “You have the most epic green eyes I have ever seen.” I turn to say a pretty girl, I think I just got myself a nosy friend, I’m always nice to them but I keep my distance. “Thanks, I’m Justin.” I tell her, not to be rude. “I heard, I’m Aria.” We stop the conversation. I was trying really hard to focus on what the teacher was saying but the way this guy was looking at me, it was intense. The bell goes off and it’s lunch time. I picked some stuff from the cafeteria and was about to head off to the break room. “Hey Justin, come sit with me.” It’s Aria, she acts differently and is honest but I can’t trust her. “It’s fine Aria, go meet your friends.” “Come on, they wouldn’t even notice that I’m gone, here, let’s sit here.” Aria takes my hand and leads me to an empty table in the break room, and then I overheard some girls talking, definitely about me. “That’s the new girl Arthur was staring at.” “So what? Not like he can just find her attractive on her first day, right?” “Oh don’t worry, he has eyes only for you.” I chuckled and sat down, Aria joined me. “Don’t mind them, that’s what they always do when a new girl comes in. They always try to help us feel belittled.” I laugh at Aria’s statement, she doesn’t seem to like them or even the type to roll with them. Maybe she’s not been nosy. “That’s not a problem for me, I know just how to handle them.” Aria and I kept on having more fun and sensible conversations and I was growing to like her. I think I’ll keep her as a friend. It wouldn’t be that bad. I excuse myself to go to the bathroom for a second. As I was walking down the hall, a huge hand pulled me to a disorganized, small room. “What the fuck?!” Before I could lash out, it was the guy, the one who was intensively staring at me. “You?!” “What do you want? Are you insane? Why the fuck would you draw me like I’m a piece of paper?” “You feel like a piece of paper.” “I’m getting the fuck out of here before I get into trouble.” I try to get out but his strong hand stops the door from opening. I look at him, like, “What the fuck?!” “What’s the name of your pack?” What the fuck does he mean by that? What pack? “What the hell are you talking about? Are you drunk? Or high?” He doesn’t answer me, he just keeps staring at me like the answer was going to pop out of me. “Why the fuck are you looking at me like that?” “You don’t smell like one? Why am I not feeling any connection from you?” “Are you supposed to have a connection? Is this a prank or a joke? Because what the fuck?” I go for the door handle but he yanks me, making me stumble on his hard body. I could feel his body packs, so strong. Someone opens the door of the room and oh fuck. “What the hell is going on here?”Chapter 54 Arthur’s POV “Fuck!” Oliver growls as Jayden tries to massage his shoulder. “This is all your fault.” Oliver blames him. “You shouldn’t have been romancing my mate.” Jayden objects. “I didn’t know she was your mate, dipshit.” “Fuck you.” “No, fuck you.” Jayden pressed Oliver’s shoulder harder and it made him scream out in agony. I focus back on my laptop and keep scanning through the files that we had extracted. I see a clip, and I click on it. I see a man bound in strong chains hanging from the ceiling. “What the fuck?” I draw others’ attention and they rush to see what I’m looking at. “Is that the father of all vampires?” Jayden asks “Yes.” I groan. That’s Sebastian, the father and creator of all vampires. I heard stories about him from my Father. How he was blessed with the gift of immortality and recreation of his kind. One bite from him and you become a vampire. He was said to have gone into exile since no one has seen or heard from him in a very long
Chapter 53 Arthur’s POV It’s been days, and we still haven't gotten to Dr Reyes. I don’t even know what to do at this point. We have no clue about his whereabouts. It’s like he’s mysteriously disappeared from this world, along with Luke, Justin’s mom, and his other child. Even his pets are nowhere to be found. “This is frustrating,” Oliver complains. “You tell me. I have my Mom on my ass, every day. She keeps asking when we are going to get Justin out of here.” I told him. “She’s right. We don’t know why they have decided to leave their daughter here. She might be sending information to them.” “Or not. It’s been two weeks since she got here and she hasn’t been out of the room more than two times.” He sighs and keeps typing on his laptop. I really wish everyone would just try to understand that I can’t just send her to her selfish father. I don’t know what he would do to her and I can’t let her go. If she dies, or anything bad happens to her, I would
Hi, so I missed chapter 22 in earlier chapters. But I've made it available now for free, sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.😖 Chapter 22 Arthur’s POV I keep struggling with the ropes that these morons have used to hold me down. They wouldn’t stand a chance with me if I wasn’t subdue. One of the masked men looks at me, and laughs. “I’ve been told that you’re the strongest. Guess every strong man has their weakness. You can’t even get out of the ropes.” He mockingly says. I bet he knows who I am, and what he’s doing. He will regret what he is doing. “Where is Justin? What have you done with her?” I furiously ask. “Don’t worry about her. She’s okay. You should be worried about yourself.” He laughs again. My wolf isn’t calm at all. He keeps threatening to kill me if Justin is dead. Picking the masked men scents, they smell nothing like vampires or werewolves. They are mere humans, who know everything about me and my kind. I keep struggling to contain my
Chapter 52 Arthur’s POVWhen we get home, my mom runs to me and hugs me so tight. I know she was really scared. She went to Adrian and they did their lovey-dovey whatever. We go to the house and talk about everything that happened in the research lab. “Dr Reyes shouldn’t be hard to find,” Kylian says after I told them that he escaped. “I hope so,” I say. Oliver throws himself into the files he had extracted from the lab and he’s doing so many experiments. He’s a nerd, he hates when I call him that. Ainsley tried to assist him in any way possible. She’s quite the brainiac too. I go to see Justin. It’s time she starts to speak, she’s getting too comfortable here. I open the door to the room she’s staying in. She flitch immediately. I guess she expected me to knock like I did the last time. No won’t do, Pretty. “We need to talk. Sit.” I ordered her. She sits obediently, she’s a little scared but confident enough to look me in the eyes. I didn’t take anyone with me. This is
Chapter 51 Arthur’s POV “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go,” Oliver shouts at the pack warriors we have carefully selected to follow us to invade Dr Reyes’ lab. It’s now or never. Oliver has tracked them to where they are presently and we are going there. This ends now. My mom, Ainsley, and Kylian are at the border side to see us off. I refuse to take Kylian with me because I need him to be here protecting my people. I need Ainsley here too, to help keep Kylian and my Mom away from Justin. “Make sure she stays in the room and doesn't leave. I’ll deal with her when I get back.” I told Ainsley. “Yes, Alpha.” She obeys. I hug her and kiss her on the head. We’ve gotten close in the past few weeks. Although her Dad is back from his trip, he doesn’t want her to come back home because of everything her mother has done to her. “She’s better off staying here with you.” Ainsley’s Dad insists. And I agree. We all love having Ainsley in the house. She’s clean, she can cook, and
Chapter 50 Arthur’s POVI walk out of the room where Justin was. I feel like a bus had just run into me. My heart feels numb and blunt. I can’t even think straight. All I want is a mate. And the moon goddess thought it was a good idea to give me a human. Not just any human, the enemy herself. My heart hammers against my chest. This is not fair. My phone starts to ring, it’s one of the border patrol men. What is it now? “I’m sorry to bother you, Alpha.” He starts. “Then why bother me?” I angrily cut him off. “The vampires are on the other side of the border. There are many, but they are not attacking.” “I’ll be on my way. Stand down and be alert.” I order him and end the call. I didn’t even have time to change my clothes, I might have to rip them off to kill those bastards. I get downstairs, “Oliver, let’s go.” I told him. My Mom tried to stop me to ask what was happening, but I didn't have time to explain. Adrian insisted on going with me and I agree. I’ll need all hands o
