Daisy Pov
The sun hung low as I alighted from the Airplane. The cool fresh air blew on my face and I closed my eyes as I inhaled the air. Ah… The breeze felt refreshing. The air crackled with an electrifying tension as if the state of Arizona sensed the impending disruption my presence was about to cause. My legs moved silently, leaving no trace of my presence, a skill honed during years of self-imposed exile. Then it struck me. My kids!!
“Come Babies.” I urged my quadruplets. Jason, James, Janice and Juniper. The five year olds stared at me with their deep coloured eyes. Janice and Jason had inherited the color of my eyes, deep blue. But James and Juniper had inherited the color of their Father's eyes, a very deep green. Eyes that I haven't looked into. A face that I have no idea of.
You wonder how I got into such a situation where I didnt know who the father of my kids was? Let me usher you into my world. The World of the Abandoned Daisy Winans.
Flashback.
“Daisy! Wake up!” I heard my Father's voice from behind my bedroom door. Being an only child was wonderful. So wonderful In the sense that I had my own personal room, personal space. No younger sibling to annoy me and no older sibling to boss me around.
Total bliss. Being an only child is so underrated.
“Father, let me sleep some more please.” I begged as I rolled in my bed. He walked into the room with a very serious face.
“This is what you do all day. You sleep, wake up, eat food that has already been hunted for you, go about doing stupid shows in the Pack. This is one of the reasons why you can never become Luna of the pack.” Father thundered. I sighed and sat up. I was in no mood for Father's tantrums.
“I apologize Father. It's just that I'm exhausted from studying.” I said.
“You should not be exhausted. It's not an excuse. It's the only thing you can do to redeem yourself in front of the Pack members. You owe yourself good grades, not me. At least prove to the Pack that you're not useless.” Father said and I stared at him quietly.
“Anyway, I didn't come here to wake you or get upset. You need to come out. We, your mother and I, have some important information for you.” Dad said and I sat up properly.
I had seen Father be this stern before. He was always this way ever since I was unable to turn into my wolf self. He had become cold towards me, and wouldn't even let me come near him. It was no longer new to me. Six years ago, when I turned 12, I was unable to shift into my wolf. That automatically made me lose out in front of the Pack members. I had lost respect and my Father had also lost the respect of his people.
As the Alpha of the Pack, I understood him. It was hard for me to attend Pack programs because I would be treated as the Alpha's daughter who had no Wolf. It was embarrassing.
My Father had no other child and being the only child and the heir to the Pack's throne, meant I would have to make up for being a werewolf without a wolf. And that pretty much makes me human.
And a human cannot lead a wolf Pack. Father has already told me that I wouldn't be the Luna of the pack. But I always felt that my Mother would be able to convince him to let me show him my abilities. Instead, Father drew further and further away from me.
What could be so important that Dad had to wake me up from a nap, coupled with the fact that he barely came to my room. I sat up, arranged my hair, and walked to the Living room, hoping to the moon goddess that it was good news.
In the Living room sat my Mother, looking very uncomfortable, and another woman, whom I'd never set eyes on. Two other people, kids who looked like me, stood behind the strange woman, and they glared at me as though I'd offended them.
People I'd never met in my life.
“Daisy. Come.” Mother beckoned on me and I walked to her.
“What's going on?” I asked and Mother hushed me, smiling sadly and she touched my hair.
“Daisy. It's been Six years since you clocked Twelve. And you still haven't been able to shift into your wolf form.” Father said.
Why is he reminding me this is no strange news?
“Yeah. She's the outcast of the pack.” One of the kids said and I glared at her.
“Shut up.” I growled.
“Daisy. Be nice.” Mother scolded gently and I rolled my eyes and turned to Father.
“What about my not being able to Shift Father? The seer already told you that it wasn't my fault and that it would be rectified soon.” I said calmly, trying hard not to cry.
“Soon. It has now turned to six years. I announced that you would be unable to become Luna if you didn't shift into your wolf before the time when I'll step down from Pack duties.” Father said and I sighed.
“Is this the right time to tell me that I can be Luna even without having a wolf? People have done it. I have proven myself good enough to handle pack duties, even without being given a wolf form. I am the only person from this pack to have gotten early Admission into the University of Arizona. To study Medicine.” I said and Mother gasped.
“You got in early to the University of Arizona?” Mom asked and I nodded.
“Yes. I did. And I have an admission into the Arizona State school of Business. To study Business Management.” I said.
The state of Arizona is the headquarters of all the seven packs ruled by the Alpha King of all Kings where both human and werewolf exist. It's a well developed city where every pack is under, including my father's pack but located in the same geographical area more like a country and the packs are like states under it.
“That's where you belong. Among the Nerdy puny weak Human world.” The girl said and I glared at her.
“What have you achieved? Apart from looking like a cheap slut you probably are.” I fired.
“Daddy. Did you hear what she just called me?” She said looking at Father and I nearly staggered in shock.
“Did you just call my Father Daddy?!” I asked.
“Yes. That is the reason I called you here. These are your Twin step siblings, Nicole and Nathan. And that's your stepmother, Gianna. They'll be moving in and living here from today.”
Daisy Pov“Did you just call my Father Daddy?” I asked in shock.“Yes. That is the reason I called you here. These are your twin step siblings, Nicole and Nathan. And that's your stepmother, Gianna. They'll be living here as of this moment.” Father said and I gasped.“Father, that is impossible!” I yelled.“Do not tell me what is possible and not possible. How can it be that the Next heir in line to the throne, has no wolf form? That in itself is an impossibility.” Father said.I clenched my fists.“How long have you had them as a family? Because they are obviously my age.” I asked.“We were told your mother would not be able to conceive. Being that she was my mate and I couldn't get a divorce because it was against pack customs, I looked for an alternative outside. Gianna and Your mother became Pregnant at the same time. I wondered if I should keep the children with Gianna. When Your mother gave birth to a girl, you, I was thrilled. But I was even more thrilled when Gianna gave bir
Daisy Pov“How can she be mated to three different people? Is that even possible? I wasn't even able to find my mate!” Nicole screamed hours after the Party was over.“Are you Jealous? Why are you so pissed at me? Get angry at the moon goddess instead.” I said and she glared at me.“How did that happen?” Father asked.“O,h now you're concerned about what happens to me?” I asked sarcastically. “I have no idea how it happened. It's a lot for me to take in as well.” I said and he nodded. “Which of them are you going to pick?” Father asked. “I'll suggest you pick the Beta's son, Kerian. You have known him for quite a while now and he's from a good family. I will start the preparations for the wedding between you and Kerian.” Father said and I stared at him.“I will pick of my own volition, Alpha Winans,” I said and he looked at me.“What did you say?” He asked.“I will pick of my own choice. And my choice is not Kerian. When I have made a choice, I'll do well to inform you so that you c
Daisy Pov"Something's on your mind. You hardly pick at your food." Robert said as we had Lunch in the office the next day. "Nothing's on my mind. Just exam fever." I said with a small smile and he stared at me."I know you like the back of my hand, Daisy. Something's on your mind. Talk to me. What is it?" He asked and I sighed."You know, I visited Mother yesterday. And she said something that made sense. I've been considering it but I'm also wondering if it's something that's okay by you." I said and he sat up in his chair."What is it about?" He asked."Mother said we should adopt a child. It's been almost two years since we got married. She has a point, however, I'm worried about the strain it'll put on your reputation." I said and he looked at me, then slowly broke into a smile."Adoption would be wonderful, Babe. I approve of it." He said and I sighed in relief."Are you sure it's okay with you? I don't want anything that'll downplay your personality." I said and he held my pal
Daisy Pov "It's lovely to know that you have found out already. You were just the means to an end. Daisy, meet the love of my life, Sophie Williams.” Robert said with a small smile and I staggered back. “What are you saying, Robert? Do you realize what you just said? To my face? I am your freaking wife!” I yelled, angered and hurt. “Only on paper. We are signed as man and wife only on paper. Not once, never did I consider you as my wife. I have only ever loved Sophie. But when I discovered you were my fated mate, I thought what better way to elevate my status than to marry the daughter of the Alpha of the pack? That's how our marriage came to be.” Robert said and I staggered back slightly holding the table behind me for support. “How could you do this to me, Sophie?! You're the only person I trusted after my mother. I took your advice over her own every time. Why would you go all out to hurt me this way?” I asked her, tears running down my eyes. I couldn't believe it. It seemed li
Daisy Pov “You are the devil. I cannot believe that I have been in love with you for such a long time. I am such a fool. How did I protect such an ingrate like you?” I said, my voice suddenly filled with Venom. My eyes must have glowed with anger because Sophie staggered back, and I folded my fist. “I can't stand the sight of both of you. I wish to the moon goddess that you have a fun night. I am so out of here.” I said, grabbing my phone and car keys. I stormed out of the house and entered my car. Without thinking twice, I drove to my Father's house. I walked into the house and my mom saw me. “Daisy. What happened to you? Why do you look so disheveled?” Mom asked as soon as she set eyes on me. Father stared at me from the rim of his glasses. “Robert… Robert has been having an affair with Sophie behind my back. And I just discovered it today. I also discovered that he has a child with Sophie, and that child is Kenneth, my adopted son.” I said emotionlessly. “What! I'm going to mes
Daisy POV Today I opted for a black body hug gown that gave me a sharp edge. My dark blonde hair is parked in an elegant bun. My makeup isn't much, but the little touches on my face make me look pretty younger than my age. As I stared at the mirror, the images of my mother lying weak in the hospital bed flashed through my mind, surging out a new provocative anger in me towards my father. I'm going to meet him now. I need to demand from him why he hadn't taken my mother to the hospital before her sickness worsened, not until now that I have to make sure she was immediately admitted to the hospital. What if I hadn't come? How can a man be so cruel to his wife? My phone peeps, and when I checked through it, there was a message from my secretary informing me that two powerful companies in Arizona are ready to partner with me. All I had to do was to make a choice. If there's one thing that's going perfectly fine in my life, apart from my children, then it's my company. I owned a b
Daisy POVYes, you can call me a fool I don't care, what's most important is that Bella is safe from the shackles of marriage. Now I have to find a way to come out of the problem I put myself in.I went to check on my mother in the hospital, but she was still unconscious. She can only be put on a drip. The doctor told me that no surgery could be done on her until she had regained consciousness. My mother looked dead in the hospital bed she was lying on, but I kept hoping that she would come back to me healthy. As I walk down the hallway of the hospital heading outside, I try not to look too sad, like someone who has all the problems of the world on her shoulder, but the constant reminder of what is awaiting me keeps bothering my mind. I keep thinking of a way to bypass this marriage without putting myself or Bella in a mess.I grunt loudly when I suddenly collide with someone and that was when I knew I wasn't even focused on my way or maybe the person wasn't looking straight ahead too
Daisy POV“Ma, the company is on fire and our system has been hacked into.”“Nooo,” I screamed and jerked up from my sleep, and like a drunkard, I rubbed my sleeping eyes, scrutinized my surroundings, and realized that I was still lying on my bed. Today is Monday and when I check the time it's 7:30 am. I have just 30 minutes to prepare and get to King's Company, where I have been offered a job.Well, you must be wondering why I have to work when I own a company, but something terrible happened.Something I didn't see coming, no one saw it.It wasn't a dream. This was the news I received five days ago, a day after I left my father and told him I wouldn't marry the man he arranged for me. I was called very early the following day by my secretary that my fashion company caught fire and everything burnt down. To worsen the case, the company's financial account was hacked into and all the money was wiped out, so now I'm back to nothing. It's like the Devil was waiting for me at a corner t
