Chapter 81

Daisy POV

From the station, I went straight to check on my mother in the hospital but when I got there I was told that she had been discharged from the hospital and she's now receiving her treatment from home.

So I drove to my father's mansion, a place I hadn't been for quite a long time. I felt a lump in my throat and my hands tightened around the steering wheel when I remembered how I was treated the last time I came here.

But this time it would be different. I told myself as I came down from the car and I headed straight to the big gate.

When I knocked on the black gate a few minutes later a guard opened up for me.

“Yes, who are you?” He asked me with his body still blocking the way.

I remained silent for a while. My voice was lost in words. It felt so strange that I was asked who I was at my father's house. This is the first time I have been asked such a question. Other times I'm ushered in though I wasn't warmly welcomed by the people inside.

“Ma, who are you?” The security guy
