SO SORRY I missed posting a new chapter last night. I had an emergency to take care of and then I had to do my day job. I will try to get you a second chapter today after I get TBML posted. Thank you for understanding. Please leave a gem or comment, I really do appreciate them both. Thanks for reading! -A :)
Baylor POV I had a few ideas that I wanted to run by Alpha Colin, not that I needed his permission but I valued his opinion and input. One of the ideas I had would work for the short term, but I didn’t want it to be wasteful for the long term. One thing I learned once the guys and I ran away from the orphanage, was you don’t waste anything. I don’t know what kind of money the pack has, but I want to use it wisely and eventually figure out a way to make more. I notice we don’t have a large amount of children at least not yet, but we only have a little more than half of the pack here so far and that could change things. But I think we should probably look into making a more formal school system and set up a daycare-preschool. So these things in addition to housing are top of my priority list, right after training and keeping the pack safe. I should probably find out more about what happened after my parents' deaths that sent the pack into hiding in the first place. I don’t want a rep
Baylor POV We got the entire space cleared and ready to erect 4 barns, they could be spaced far enough apart to be separate entities once they were no longer housing. Colin and I made phone calls and the supplies should be here in two days time in the meantime. Every nook and cranny that could be filled, had been filled with the 450 pack members that were already here. All I could think is that I truly hoped the remaining 250 wouldn’t be here until we could get these structures built. At dinner we ate in shifts so there would be plenty of seating for everyone. The guys and I helped serve and we were like a well oiled machine. I guess the time working at Running Cool back in Colorado had paid off with more than a paycheck for survival. As we worked we would pass different things back and forth by tossing them. It became dinner entertainment for the pack as they watched us move around. I decided since they have shared some of themselves with us while we worked earlier to add to the s
Kenneth POV Now that I am actually on my way to stay with Phoebe, I must admit I am a little nervous. I am not a virgin, but my first time back in the states was so monumentally disastrous that I haven’t tried again. The only thing I likely have in my favor when Phoebe and I mate and mark is that she was waiting for her mate, so if I screw this up, no pun intended, she won’t have someone to compare me to. The sparks I feel as we walk along hand in hand are incredible, and the feeling in my heart I never knew I could feel love like this. Like Bay and Mitchum, I never knew I was a werewolf until recently. I can’t remember a time before I was in the orphanage, so I have no idea if I had parents who loved me at some point. I usually never even think about it, but feeling this intense feeling of love for Phoebe, makes me wonder about what my past may have been. “Are you okay Kenneth dear? You seem upset,” Phoebe asked. I nodded, I didn’t want her to know that I feel inadequate. “I am oka
Baylor POV I woke up pretty early this morning. I assumed that Kenneth would probably come to the packhouse when Phoebe did and I wanted to know how things went. I am not a creeper or anything, I generally apply the don’t ask don’t tell principal when it comes to the sex lives of my buddies. This was different though, I don’t want to know the dirty deet’s of their physical intimacy, I was curious about the marking part of it though. So hopefully before the packhouse becomes too busy for the morning, we can sit and talk. So I quickly showered and dressed for the day before heading down the stairs. As I walked into the kitchen to grab some coffee Kenneth was sitting on a stool watching Phoebe bustle around the room. “Good morning Alpha, would you like some coffee before we all have to head off to training?” Phoebe practically sang. They must have had a successful night, if her extra cheer was any indicator. “Sure Phoebe, but I can get it. You don’t have to wait on me,” I replied. “Non
Baylor POV To say that I am frustrated might be an understatement, however I am going to proceed under the assumption that there are just many things that are second nature to werewolves that they didn’t think about sharing them with me. I wouldn’t want to think that not being told about something would have anything to do with who I am, so I won’t let that seed of doubt grow. “I can see that you need to talk and the frustration is written all over your face, so out with it lad say what is on your mind,” Alpha Colin said. “Okay, I am supposed to be the leader here, the Alpha werewolf, right?” I asked. “You are the leader, the Alpha of the Skatom Mochain Pack,” Alpha Colin replied. “I have seen pack members take a knee and do this head tilt thing several times but don’t fully know what is going on there, so why don’t you start with that?” I said letting my frustration be heard in my words. “Taking a knee doesn’t always happen, but the offering of their neck in submission to their l
Siobhan POV Most people ignore me and have as far back as I can remember. That is fine with me because, if they aren’t ignoring me, they want something. Sometimes they want a servant, sometimes they want someone to punish for any number of things, and occasionally, it is for their own sexual pleasures. I didn’t lie when I told the Alpha that it wasn’t one of our pack members who forced themselves on me. They didn’t, but when we encountered some rogues, they did trade me to save their own skin. I don’t blame them for it, but now I have a pup to protect and I won’t be a scapegoat anymore. The new Alpha is young, but he is smart and fiercely protective of basic human rights and for that I am grateful. Sure I am aware that I am an Omega werewolf and supposed to be the pack ‘whipping girl’ but I have always felt deep inside that there was something more to my existence. Maybe that is why Selene brought the Alpha home, not only to fulfill his destiny, but for me to fulfill mine too. I do
Baylor POV The ladies all left after our meeting to take Siobhan pup shopping. Before leaving, Siobhan came to me and said that if it was going to cause trouble, they could go another time. I told her it wasn’t going to be any trouble at all, since I gave ‘permission’ in the first place. “B-b-but what about lunch A-a-alpha?” she had questioned. “We’ll make it all work out. Go have fun and take care of our pack’s first pup,” I told her. As I finished the statement the O’Hurley’s came into the pack house, “Lunch crew reporting for duty, Alpha,” they said in their usual creepy unison way. I looked at Siobhan and said, “See, all taken care of, now go and get the things you need. Once they had left Kenneth, the O’Hurley’s, and I got busy with lunch preparations. “Okay Kenneth’s culinary skills are lacking and mine are worse yet so how about we make soup and sandwiches, it shouldn’t be too hard to pull that off for just over 450 people,” I said when we entered the kitchen. The O’Hurley’s l
Baylor POV Alpha Colin and I walked around the territory during the afternoon looking at the different buildings that still remained to see what needed to be fixed with each one. “Baylor I forgot to tell you something. It isn’t a giant deal, but it was an oversight,” Alpha Colin said. ‘Great another thing to make me look stupid,’ I thought to myself. ‘No not stupid lad, but learning how to direct the mind-link is something you should learn sooner rather than later.’ I heard him say but his lips weren’t moving. My brows knit together and I looked at Alpha Colin in confusion. “Did you just mind-link me?” I asked out loud. ‘Yes, even though we aren’t pack mates, we can mind-link because we are both Alphas,’ he answered through the link. I shrugged and nodded, “Well that’s cool then.” “You’re doing just fine Baylor, the submission thing was absolutely the fault of Clive and I, something that neither of us had given much thought to. There will probably be other things as time goes on an
