Chapter Four Making The Call To The Alpha

Everyone decided to gather outside in the backyard. Okay, honey, my dad said let us see your wolf. Once Cailee had shifted into her red wolf. Both of her parents looked and gasped. Honey, your wolf is beautiful, her mom said. Then my parents looked at each other, they were mind-linking and put a block up for me not to hear them.

Chad do you know what this means? Yes, I know what it means, he said. But how can we be sure that she has powers? There's only one way to find out we have to inform the Alpha and the Elders about her being a red wolf. You know red wolves are rare and that they are special. Elsa, can you hear what my parents are saying? I ask. No, I can't since I am a part of you they can block us out.

I wonder what is going on, I don't know but I can't even contact their wolves right now with them having the block up. It's as if they don't want us to know anything. My parents just stopped mind-linking and I was back to my human form. I walked over to my parents and asked them what is all the secrecy about. I asked my parents. I'm sure once your parents talk with the Alpha and the Elders all this will be cleared up. My parents were still in the backyard discussing my Wolf. Chad, what are we going to do? You know that we can't let the pack know about her Wolf yet. At least not until her having a red wolf means. Don't worry Caya I will go call the Alpha and set up a meeting with him for tomorrow. Not far off in the distance, someone was listening to Chad and Caya's conversation about their daughter being a red wolf.

The next day Cailee woke up to her mom mind-linking her and asking her to feed her baby brother. Alright Mom I will do that, are you and Dad headed to Alpha Israel's? Yes, we are and we will be back as soon as we can. Alright, Mom I say, and then walking into Stephens's room I see him looking at me with a smile on his face. Come on, I say to my baby brother, let's get some food in our belly. I pick up my brother and we walk down the stairs into the kitchen.

I'm going to get some food here you sit in your chair okay Stephen? Okay, he says I grab some cereal and put it in a bowl for him and I pour myself some too. As I was sitting there I couldn't help but wonder why my parents couldn't tell me anything about my Wolf. While I was in a daze my brother decided he wanted to throw his Cheerios at me. Ahh! Stephen, look what you did, now there is cereal in my hair. He just looked at me and started laughing. Oh, so you think that's funny huh? Well, how about I start tickling you? I started tickling him and he laughed for a little bit. Look at the mess you made, he looked at me and was about to cry. Oh don't cry big sis is not mad at you. He stops and then looks at me with his big blue eyes. Alright, now it is time to clean you up. As I'm cleaning my brother I said to Elsa it looks like we will not be shifting for a while until we know what is the deal about me being a red wolf. Or we could shift at night and go for a run, but we have to be careful not to run into rogues. Yes, that is a great idea and we will make sure to watch out for rogues. At that moment my brother was starting to fall asleep. Okay, little one it looks like it's time to put you down for a nap.

Chad and I arrived at the pack house and we were both a little nervous to tell him about our daughter's wolf. It will be fine Samuel said I am sure he and the Elders of the pack can help us figure this out. The guards had notified Alpha Israel that we were here. Of course, Beta Carlos came out to greet us and walked us inside towards the Alpha's office. Beta Carlos knocked and opened the door to let us and the Alpha was in his chair standing by him was Luna Isabelle and sitting on the couch were the Elders of the pack. We bowed and sat down in the seats across from his desk.

So what can I do for you two today? Well, we came here to talk to you about our daughter Cailee. What about your daughter Cailee? Well, you know that her birthday was this past weekend. Oh yes, Cameron went to the party. Anyways, she got her wolf early that morning before the party. Well after the party was over she went into the woods to go through her first shift. That is great now she has her wolf and can find her mate.
