Chapter Twenty One Shay's Betrayal

Cailee is my best friend and I heard that she is the red wolf with powers. The thing is I need to know that if what I heard is true. It took me awhile to find out why Cailee wanted to see us that Monday morning before school. I told her that I couldn't make it, but the truth was I was there in the forest watching when she turned into the red wolf.

I know that I'm one of her best friends, but I couldn't face her because I was betraying my own pack just to save my mate. I was on my usual run through the forest when I smelled the most delicious smell of cedarwood. My nose followed that scent until it lead me to him my mate standing by a tree drinking water.
