Prologue

My name is Cailee Langston, and I am part of the Pure-Blood Moon pack. In the pack, we try to live a peaceful and normal life. Some packs think just because of the name that our pack is weak. But that is not the case, we are strong because of the pureness we have for our pack.

In the pack, we fight every day except on weekends. The weekends are for our pack members to spend time as a family. Also, to recuperate from the intense training. When we do train, the fights are very intense. Because we don't know when or if we will be attacked. We aren't letting our guard down, though.

My parents are mates my dad is half wolf and half vampire whereas my mom is a wolf. I don't know if I will have wolf or vampire abilities. However, when my birthday comes we shall see what the moon goddess has in store for me.

In our pack, we don't have our first shift until we are eighteen years old. Unless you're an Alpha, then you can shift early. It is known that when an Alpha shifts early that it can find its mate. What I didn't expect was for me to get a rare red wolf. Especially one with powers that one never expects. When we get our wolves, we can find our mates once we have shifted. However, when I got my mate, it was the last person I expected to be mated to.
