“Where is Alpha Alphonso?” Asked Alpha Ciandra.
“Be patient my child, you will learn of everything soon.” The elder replied.
Alpha Ciandra hummed at herself, walking behind the elder, she was walking so slow Alpha Ciandra almost offered to carry her on her back. Her stomach chose the moment to embarrass her with a loud growl which made Elder Delora turn around. “I thought you don’t get hungry.” Elder Delora remarked.
“Uh?”
“I mean, you are the great Alpha Ciandra.”
“Right.”
Elder Delora offered her a sweet smile, “I like you.” She stood abruptly and Alpha Ciandra bumped into her, she apologized while taking a step back. The woman chuckled and focused on something in the distance.
“Okay, I have ordered Beta Pierre to bring you food. Let's go.” Elder Delora said.
It hit Alpha Ciandra, Elder Delora was talking to the stupid Beta through the mindlink. As they walked towards what she assumed would be a dining hall or room, she noticed the wolves starting to point at her. She overheard them saying, “she is the great Alpha Ciandra.”
“It is rude to speak of someone while they are listening, why can’t you stop us and compliment her instead?” Elder Delora asked.
They gathered near Alpha Ciandra, shooting many questions at once. She didn’t get to answer them, she was a werewolf and not a magician to answer thirty questions at once. Once the questions cooled down, she was ready to answer but Elder Delora answered for her, “all you have heard is true, she will speak to you later, now, shoo.”
Alpha Ciandra chuckled, they entered a room Beta Pierre hadn’t shown her, she almost counterchecked herself and requestioned why she was there. The hall in front of her looked exactly like a court, she couldn’t help but wonder if she was there for a trial or just to meet the damn alpha.
“Alpha Ciandra, this is Elder Karela.” Elder Delora introduced.
“Excuse me?” She asked, if they were the only ones inside the hall, was the elder going crazy, or had she turned blind?
“Hello, great alpha.” A shrilling voice resonated through the hall.
Alpha Ciandra’s spun around at a lightning speed, and when she saw the woman appearing from the podium, she knew the woman wasn’t just a wolf but rather a witch. She greeted her and together with Elder Delora they sat Alpha Ciandra in the chair in the middle of the hall.
Once again, they fucking left her, sitting looking like a buffoon.
Twenty minutes later, a large number of men and women began streaming in, Alpha Ciandra stayed seated and watched as they lowered themselves onto the seats as if they were going to be paid. She watched as Beta Pierre approached her with a glass of water, she took it and placed it on her lap.
She wasn’t in the mood to drink it, not when the wolves acted inappropriately. Yes, she didn’t expect them to respect her or bow or treat her like a queen, but a tiny respect and recognition wouldn’t hurt, right?
Light streamed all over the hall, Elder Delora stood and the session Alpha Ciandra didn’t know what it was about, began. Briefly, she introduced Alpha Ciandra and welcomed another elder to speak.
“I apologize for this, I am Elder Karela.” The woman said, looking at Alpha Ciandra.
“If it is necessary, then I am okay.” Replied Alpha Ciandra.
“Good.”
What happened next surprised her, she learned the absence of Alpha Alphonso and what he had asked the elders to do once she arrived. “You must lead the pack for me.” She heard it as a command, and she despised it. Seriously, if he wanted her to lead, she was going to. What was the need to order her?
**
She went directly to work, and the first group she met was the Dark Warriors. She looked over the pack and sent Beta Pierre to important errands even though the man didn’t want to. But who would go if not him? She didn’t have the power to be in the office and running errands simultaneously.
Once in a while, Alpha Ciandra thought of her father and their training together. Sometimes she couldn’t help but wonder if he was dead or if he has already been back at the Vagabond Pack.
For two weeks straight, she strengthened the Dark Warriors with intense training. During the night, she read notes about the neighboring packs. She was there to serve and protect, not knowing what the nearby packs would be a foolish person’s work.
Today, she sent Beta Pierre to order bows and arrows from a nearby town full of bowyers. She had noticed the pack’s knowledge of using them was weak.
She informed Elder Karela and Delora she was going to check on Beta Pierre and the women nodded with disapproval in their eyes. “You are not a prisoner here.” Elder Karela pointed out.
“Oh.” She went to her bedroom and picked up some coins and left for the town. In town, she overheard someone talking about the return of Alpha Alphonso, like the good loyal alpha she was, she hurriedly went back.
Luckily, or rather unluckily, she arrived just the moment Alpha Alphonso did. There was no one at the gate and that made things worse for her, she pushed it open hurriedly and bowed her head down with respect for the car to pass.
She knew the car by heart, hell, she knew what perfume the alpha wore but something wasn’t right. She felt strange, bothered, and she didn’t like it. The car’s door opened, making Alpha Ciandra look up, when her eyes met the bluest eyes she has ever seen, she wanted to run off with her tails between her legs, literally.
It was Alpha Alphonso, and damn, how hot he looked.
However, she too was hot and the hotness wasn’t good hot at all. Her legs carried themselves to Alpha Alphonso, she opened her mouth like a fish stranded on the hot sand near the lake. Her mind went blank, and for the first time in her life, she wanted nothing but for the world to open and swallow her alive. It couldn’t be, she thought.
Alpha Alphonso smirked, raised his hand, touched Alpha Ciandra’s beautiful face, and cooed, “my mate!”
Unable to move an inch, or remove the alpha’s warm hand from her face, Alpha Ciandra couldn’t miss the way her body warmed up to the heat. Her face inclined to his touch. Please, tell me this is a joke. She thought. The alpha’s thumb was moving dangerously to her lower lip, and still, she did nothing, she was still chanting, "please, tell me this is a joke." Not once did Alpha Ciandra think the first fight would be between her stuck mind and her raging thumbing heart against her chest. Not once did she imagine her face being held by a handsome man while he looked at her as if she was a possession he couldn’t wait to handle in any way he deemed fit. Confused. It was the only way to describe her emotions at this moment. Alpha Alphonso pulled her lower lip, the interest in his eyes burning. Alpha Ciandra was a spectator to what was happening, far away with broken binoculars making the images unclear. She couldn’t believe this was happening. A wolf was heading in their direction, mak
Beta Pierre swallowed, “we have a problem.” Alpha Ciandra moved out of the way as Alpha Alphonso pushed Beta Pierre onto the seat. From the way he looked at his beta, Alpha Ciandra knew it wasn't something new. She only hoped it was something she didn’t have to deal with Beta Pierre for more than the necessary time. For the little time she had spent with him, Alpha Ciandra wanted nothing to do with him if not necessary, better fight the rogues than sitting with the guy. Alpha Ciandra shoved down the heating sensations she was feeling and asked, “does someone care to fill me in?” Beta Pierre explained, "I was at Tagadi Town, Alpha Ciandra sent me to bring some bows and arrows..." Alpha Alphonso cut him off, with a voice laced with sarcasm, he puzzled, "are we going to learn the real problem anytime soon or should I gather the pups for you to tell them the story? Damn it, Pierre, out with the shit already." Alpha Ciandra crossed her arms over her chest, she could see now why
**Twenty minutes later** Good job Ciandra first mission is done, now you have to be a diplomat and help the young man talk the issue out with Beta Pierre. She thought as she listened to the young man in his mid-twenties. Things turned out okay, the hunters were furious at Beta Pierre as it wasn’t his first time disturbing them. “What is the meaning of this?” Beta Pierre and his stupid face asked Alpha Ciandra. “Alphonso is asking for you.” A wolf she has never spoken to told her. “I believe you will handle this well, Pierre.” She said as she looked at the human with assurance, she was sure he was reasonable and wouldn’t start a fight. For Beta Pierre, Alpha Ciandra hoped he heard the warning in her tone. Walking towards the packhouse behind the wolf, Alpha Ciandra once again noticed the quietness of the Dark Shadow Pack. Yes, most of the time the Vagabond Pack was busy training, but at least anyone could hear them talking, evident enough the pack was inhabited. This… the silen
The meeting with Tagadi Town's leader went surprisingly well, just like the hunters’ leader, he promised to speak to the teenagers so long as they speak to Pierre about his behavior. Alpha Ciandra was glad they had a consensus because she needed to think of mate shit. As they returned, the two elders spoke to each other in hush tones, she kept hearing them mentioning her name, and not once did she ask them why they were being disrespectful. So long as they didn’t speak to her, she was okay. After all, she needed alone time and in whatever way it came, she embraced it. Unfazed, she walked beside them as if they were speaking about fresh vegetables at the market town and not about her. When they arrived at the Dark Shadow Pack, she narrowed her eyes at the two she-wolves guarding the gate, they looked down in respect but something told her it was directed to the two elders and not her. "Go report to him." Elder Kalera said firmly. Alpha Ciandra nodded slightly and walked towards the pa
Most of the werewolves in the Vagabond Pack never talked of these topics; sex, mate, heat, and anything else regarding touching bodies intimately. Why would they anyway when they had packs to protect? And not once did they sit down and start discussing the possibilities about mates, it was important because no one has ever announced they needed a mate or they have met one. No one in the pack had a mate, or so she believed, now, she was unsure if no one had. The fact that she couldn’t help but think someone had but since they never spoke about mates eat her up as she huddled herself in the corner feeling small with no answer. The Vagabond Pack werewolves would summarize every fighting scene in one go and would fight anything and anyone without batting an eyelash. Indeed, they were the chosen pack only meant to be warriors. Most of the warriors in the Vagabond Pack didn’t know their parents because they were brought as pups from Pryden, House of Noirin. When she was old enough, she
[ALPHA ALPHONSO] “I, Alpha Alphonso of the Dark Shadow Pack, accept you, Alpha Ciandra Craton of the Vagabond Pack.” He paused, taking in Alpha Ciandra’s shaken figure. “Now, accept me.” He ordered. Her lips parted as he stared at him with fury, the vehement in her eyes visible. Alpha Alphonso looked behind her as if waiting for something, for someone. He moved to her, she moved back. When her back hit the door, he raised his hand and asked, “chose between marking you or accepting me.” As much as he wanted to hear her answer, the person he was waiting to come through seemed to take all the time he had in the world. Where the fuck are you?” He cursed, returning his attention to Alpha Ciandra, he pushed his knee onto her thigh and whispered, “Ciandra, when I said I love patient mates, I forgot to mention something. I am not patient myself. You see, two opposites attract, and if both of us are patient, this relationship won’t work.” “Move away, you…” “That can’t work, I am wait
[ALPHA ALPHONSO] ******** How could he make her accept him? He wasn't a patient man when it came to what he wanted. He rubbed his feet together, wondering what he must do and immediately. He was horny, he had been so busy with the meeting that he never got the time to fuck one of the she-wolves who had kept stuffing her boobs into his face. And with his mate inside the pack, he wanted a release more than anything. "What if she plays hard to get? What then?" He wondered and sat up. How far would he go? "You are the alpha, now, think of what you will do without crushing her." Remembering his position, his duty, he couldn't help but remember her duties too. It was a hinder and he hated it. He was the alpha first, and as such, his pack’s safety came first. Knowing well the importance of Ciandra inside his pack, he had to make sure not one thing would hinder her work. He knew what a warrior meant, the values of the Vagabond Pack, and the duties laid upon them from years ago un
"Accept me! Accept me!" Those words rang inside her head as she pushed past the wolves standing in the hallways as if they couldn't see her. She could feel bile rising in her throat, she rubbed her mouth with pure disgust on her face, she wanted to get a soap, wash her mouth with and forget the man’s lips and tongue on her. "Who does he think he is?" She cussed, staring ahead of her, her mind and heart thinking of two different things. Her heart kept asking her to forget what had happened and checked on what Callister meant by Beta Pierre was in deep shit, while her mind kept telling her to head back to her bedroom, brush her teeth and return to find Alpha Alphonso and give him a mouthful of her thoughts. It was her fucking first kiss and to think it was with that man, forcefully to make matters worse. She grunted when a wolf stood in front of her, "what?" She growled. “You are needed at the gate, immediately." "And where is it that you think I am going?" She wanted to ask, in
