I stood there watching as she had her eyes closed.

She looked even more beautiful with her eyes shut.

I wanted so badly to hold her by the hand, letting her know how deeply sorry I am to have allowed her to get hurt by Claire.

I stood by the stairs, watching how hard Claire had her hair pulled until Lex couldn't handle any of it.

I had my eyes closed the minute I felt Lex coming out to lash out at her.

I shook off the thoughts of how terrible Lex had made me feel watching.

I glanced down at her neck, wondering why it was that she had a big scar on the left-hand side of her neck.

But then again, remember how badly treated she has been from the very first day she stepped foot here.
