Chapter 1

Julia's POV

“Don't you dare touch me with those filthy hands of yours! How many times will I warn you about this?” Alpha Damien's glare turned cold as he slammed my hand off his clothings while he was trying  to get up from the wheelchair.

“I am sorry. I just thought of helping you get up since your limbs are not strong enough. Please forgive me.” I apologized in the instant while I watched him get up on his feet all by himself.

His feet were trembling and his body was shaking. As he tried to balance himself with the staff in his hand, his knees were weak and he tripped to fall on the ground.

Even though he doesn't want me to touch him. Even though he saw me as dirt. I couldn't just watch him fall. I rushed hastily with pity in my eyes and I held him to stand appropriately.

Alpha Damien balanced on his feet and he turned to me fiercely. His eyes were furious as my hand was still on his body and the first thing he did was to violently push me.

I crashed on the ground and whimpered in pain. As my body was hurting and I struggled to get on my feet…

“You lowly thing! I warned you and since you wouldn't mind your business. That is your punishment!” Alpha Damien spoke fiercely. And I knew from that moment that he doesn't care about me. His eyes were filled with disgust.

I wasn't expecting those words from the one I called ‘Love.’ All I did was to save him from tripping. I was hurt and devastated. My eyes settled with tears and they fell off my eyes one after the other.

I managed to get up on my feet and I walked up to him. “I am your Luna, Alpha Damien and I don't expect this treatment from you. Do I even mean anything to you?” My voice trailed out with despair while I sobbed before him. He had always been like this since the time I was chosen as his mate. I thought it was because he was deserted by the people after he got into a fierce pack war that made his limbs paralysed.

But I guessed, I interpreted him wrongly. He doesn't just love me. But why did he accept me as his mate?

“You mean nothing to me. A lowly omega like you shouldn't be my Luna in the first place. Get out of my way!” Alpha Damien spoke with a cold tone. He pushed me sideways and he walked directly to the toilet.

When he was done in the toilet… “Julia!” He called my name with his fierce voice.

I knew what he was calling me for; he needed me to clean up his mess. Even though he hurt me, I still rushed to him to answer him.

“Clean my ass! I am done with the poop.” He ordered with a despicable glare as he stared at me from head to  toe.

Looking at his eyes filled with irritation. I felt like just walking away from the whole thing. But I couldn’t because of the love I have for him. I puffed out a heavy breath and looked at his face. The environment was polluted but I proceeded to wipe his ass clean.

I loved Alpha Damien with everything in me and I tried all I could just for him to see my efforts.

Alpha Damien finally got up on his feet after spending two good years on the wheelchair. I have been the one taking care of him all along and I was happy to finally see him on his feet.

I thought Alpha Damien would thank me and appreciate my efforts, but he overlooked everything like I did nothing.

As I was in thoughts in the sitting room due to what I was facing, the door was forced open and Alpha Damien walked into the sitting room with a beautiful lady beside him.

“Julia, I want you to meet the love of my life, Beta Aurora!” He spoke warmly. His eyes brightened with pride as he held her very close to himself.

“What did you just say?” My eyes turned at him with  disbelief. Looking at the way he held her very close to himself, my eyes widened with shock as I got on my feet. My heart buried in tension.

“You heard me the first time.” His voice crawled on my skin like a worm and I got goosebumps.

I was starting to get irritated by the words coming out of his mouth as reality set in.

I left everything, sacrificed all I have just to be with him when he was deserted by everyone else because I was chosen as his mate and I love him. My parents warned me and I didn't listen. I endured his harsh treatment and took care of him.

But what did I get in return after he healed?

“After all my sacrifices? You brought in another woman to replace me?” I heightened my gaze as I let out those heartbroken statements.

“What do you expect? I never loved you. I accepted you as my mate just because I had no other choice. You are a lowly omega and you can't expect an Alpha to make you his Luna.” He spoke bluntly.

“Where was she when you needed a person by your side? I accepted you at your lowest and this is what I deserve? You are an ingrate, Alpha Damien.” I spoke fiercely, my emotions throbbing as tears fell from my eyes.

“A beautiful queen like Beta Aurora cannot be a caregiver. You fit into that role and that is why you played it perfectly. You are just a maid and nothing else.”  His words were so heavy on me that I couldn't take it anymore. I moved close to him and raised my hand to slap him on the face.

Beta Aurora held my hand in the mid-air. Her eyes darkened as she tightened her grip. “Lowly omega, what a pity that you just got dumped. What do you expect from a man of his status? An omega is a slave to the Alpha and there can't be any romantic relationship between the both of you. Have some dignity and stop forcing things.”

I sucked my teeth and I cried bitterly. I wasted two years of life.

But

What is love without sacrifices?

What is affection without action?

“Julia, I Alpha Damien, reject you as my mate and Luna.” “Go in there and pack everything that passes as your property. This relationship is over!” He declared without giving it a second thought. A sense of satisfaction washed through his face.

As his words sank in, my heart shattered into several pieces. I have not been this hurt and pained in my life. I saw all the red flags but I chose to ignore it.

What did I gain at the end of the day?

I was only used and dumped. And for the first time in my life, I regretted that I ever loved him.

I went in as he ordered and I packed everything that passes as my property. Just as I was about to take my leave…

“I, Omega Julia, accept your rejection!” I declared but Beta Aurora held me by the wrist and brought her face close to my ear.

“Go and never return. I will take care of Alpha Damien from now on.” Beta Aurora whispered those words into my ear.
