Chapter 2

"I, Alpha Damon of Blood Moon pack, accepts you, Meridith Ivanovich as my mate and Luna," the man declared instantly and Daisy went pale on her spot.

Alpha Damon of Blood Moon pack. Everyone has heard of them. He's the strongest and most feared Alpha of the world. Alpha of all Alphas. The Alpha King.

Daisy has never thought her mate would be someone like him.

"He is your mate! I scented him....he is our mate!"

Daisy's wolf yelled at her. She was furious and, as the anger built up inside of her, she began to lose control over her. She needs to get out of here, before her wolf completely goes mad.

She shakily made her way to the exit door, leaving all the cheering and applause behind. Sorrow gripped her heart with each step she took and her legs felt heavy. She doesn't know what to think nor what to feel.

She was finally out and the first thing that greeted her was the cool breeze.

"Goodness!" She muttered as she forgot her pain for a moment. It was really great. "So this is how it feels to be outside?" She wondered. She even bent to touch the soil and another wave of excitement gushed through her.

Everything felt new to her. She even picked up a flower to admire. Her wolf quite down a little, sensing this strange feeling called freedom together with her.

Suddenly, she felt that special scent again. That erotic and floral scent. It was her mate!

She dropped the flowers she had at hand and hurried towards the direction of the scent. Not far away from her, she found him. It was him, the same man that confessed to her sister and there he stood, discussing something with her father.

"Mate!" Daisy blurted out as she couldn't control herself around him.

"What?" The man raised his head to look at her, then glanced at her father. His eyes are cold and intimidating. No one would dare looking directly at them.

"My name is Daisy Ivanovich, the second daughter of the Ivan's and you are my mate," she replied, eagerly.

Alpha Damon raised his brows slightly. "You are mistaken. The Ivan's has only one daughter, Meridith. And she is my mate."

"Yes, you're right. Meridith is our one and only daughter," her father supported Alpha Damon quickly. He even shot Daisy a furious glance, urging her to shut up.

But Daisy took a step closer. "I am, I am Daisy, your mate. Can't you scent me?" She was close to tears from the pain of rejection.

"You are out of your mind. Guards, take this woman away from my sight!" Damon ordered sternly and guards rushed out to grab Daisy's arms. And right at this moment, from the corner of her eyes, Daisy saw Meridith walk towards Damon. Her lips curve up forming a victorious smile.

Daisy suddenly realized what happened.

Torn between pain and betrayal, Daisy shook off the guards with all her mights and rushed  to Meridith in sadness and rage. There's only one way to explain everything: her sister had snatched her mate, since she is capable of magic.

"How dare you, Meridith! I am your sister! How dare you betrayed me like this! This is my only chance to get out! And you have so much already, why do you take what's mine?!" Daisy bursted into tears and let out a piercing cry. Her sound attracted everyone's presence, including, Alpha Damon.

"I'm sorry, my king, she is an insane girl. I think I need to lock her up again! I'm very sorry for the inconveniences," Daisy's father hided the panic and pleaded. He was very happy with the marriage alliance happening tonight— her beloved daughter would be queen! Who cared what that zeta said. No one is ruining this marriage.

"I am not crazy father, I know what I am saying. Meridith shall be punished for stealing my mate away." Daisy sobbed, trying to fight for justice.

But suddenly to everyone's surprise, Meridith fell to the floor, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Daisy you are such a liar. You just can't stand that I found such a wonderful mate. Jealousy has changed you!"

Damon rushed to hold Meridith in his arms. Daisy's heart was torn apart when she saw her mate embracing another woman. "Please don't believe her, I am your mate! She used magic to enchant you!" 

"Take her away guards and lock her up, I would punish her later for degrading the future queen!" Damon snapped and Daisy was dragged out like a dead dog.

Guards tossed her away to a secluded corner and left. She immediately sank to the ground.The pain was too much for her. How could she live by such betrayal? Knowing fully well that her sister stole her mate. 

She didn't know how long she wept, probably one or two hours or so? But she snapped her head up when she sensed her mate coming towards her once again.

She raised her head and met his scary dark blue eyes. She stood immediately, thinking maybe he has come back to his senses and would apologize to her. Her eyes are lit up with expectations, but the next second, he grabbed her and shoved her to the ground. 

"You have injured her, are you now satisfied!" He growled loudly and his fang stuck out.

Fear gripped Daisy. "W-what do you mean?" She stammered.

"You're so good at playing innocent right?" He smirked. Daisy's eyes darted to her back, as she saw Meridith with a large group of people appeared in the distance. 

Daisy took in a shale inhale when she saw Meridith’s face: there’s a horrible scar on her cheek, still bleeding.

What happened? Meridith was perfectly fine an hour ago! Who dared to injure her within her family’s territory?

She looked around, different eyes were already piercing at her and she heard murmurs, everyone pointed accusing fingers at her.

"She injured her sister!"

"How dare she attached our future queen?"

"I've heard Zeta wolf is crazy. The rumors are true!"

"You attacked and injured her!" Damon growled, his eyes bloodshot and his veins visible with rage.

"Injured.....who?" Daisy was stunned. Are they accusing her of injuring Meridith? But that didn’t make any sense!

"Stop lying! Look at the scar on Meridith’s face, it’s bleeding dark blood and the flesh around the wound is rotting quickly. Only a zeta werewolf can cause a scar like that! You caused this fucking scar on her cheek! How wicked and vicious are you!" Damon said through gritted teeth. 

"I did not.....know...what you're talking about..."

"Don't play innocent with me, it was you who threatened her hours ago. Yare the only zeta werewolf present here! If you did not attack her, then who did!" Damon growled.

"Alpha Damon, I've told you it's her. She won't admit it." Meredith sobbed in sorrow. 

 “She’s lying! I shouldn’t have threatened her but I would never make an actual move on her! She’s my sister nevertheless! I swear I didn’t scratch her. It must be someone else. Or she faked the scar herself!” Daisy exclaimed, but judged by the look on people’s face, no one believed her. 

Damon let out a cold chuckles. "Aren't you a petty liar."

Before she has something else to say, he had already announced the punishment. "From now on you will become a slave and pay for your sin for everyday!"

Daisy clamped her mouth shut as her words meant nothing. A guard stepped forward with a chain. Fear and despair gripped Daisy's heart. She was out for only one day, and now she will be locked up again. 

What had she done to deserve this?

All her pleas fell on deaf ears as the guard collared her with pure hatred. Daisy took one more glance at Meridith before she was taken away, she could swore she saw a look of victory on that face.
