Daisy stood at a corner and watched her family cheer in joy. It had always been like that. No one cares for her, no one truly cares, well maybe except Meridith, her beloved sister.

It's Daisy's birthday tomorrow, but no one seem to remember it at all and to wish her a happy birthday in advance. But if it were to be Meridith's birthday, Diasy was certain that their mother will hold a pre-birthday party and celebrate two days in a row.

She watched on as her mother showed off the dresses to Meridith. The clothes were beautiful and she could only admire. She had no courage to walk further unless she was invited. That's how unwanted she is to her family. 

She was born as a Zeta werewolf. It's even worse than being an Omega. According to ancient tales, Zeta wolves possessed strong and mysterious powers but it's only seen as a curse to others. Growing up, Meridith had always been locked up inside since her family was too afraid that she would bring any misfortune to the pack.

Her parents had hired strong warriors to train her, to keep her power under control. She once asked her father why Meridith wasn't training as hard as she did, but instead she got a hard slap across the face, and since then, she dared not question her father again and accepted her place in the Ivanovich's family.

 The feared Zeta wolf. The shame of the family. The curse of their pack.

Everyone else hates her, well maybe except her older sister Meridith. Her relationship with Meridith sometimes could be rocky but she still sees Meridith as the nicest person ever. 

"Diasy! Come on!" Meridith shout out to her once she spotted her. She stepped forward, with a forced smile on her face. She is stunning really, with bright eyes and tanned skin shone like diamond. But people had refused to see her beauty because of who she is.

"Here, you can have one of my dresses, after all it's your birthday tomorrow." Meridith smiled, handing her a long regal skirt and a backless short top. 

Meridith was both flattered and thrilled. She knew her sister would remember!

Mrs. Ivanovich frowned. "Why would you give her such? She is a disgusting zeta and it won't even suite her."

Daisy's body ran cold. She bit her bottom lips and returned the clothes to Meridith. "Yes, mother is right. I cannot wear such clothes."

"It's a birthday present from me, Mom. After all she is turning eighteen tomorrow," Meridith drawled.

"And she will meet her mate, then she can leave and I won't have to see you forever," Mrs Ivanovich taunted. "You better not embarrass our family tomorrow Daisy."

Daisy nodded quickly. But at that moment, Meridith's smile fainted away slightly. Her mother's words had reminded her of how mateless she is. She is 22 and still hadn't found her mate. It was unusual really. She had been attending balls and parties for so four yeas, but her effort came back in vain. She's devastated.

Now, even the Zeta Wolf Diasy will meet her mate before her.

Mrs Ivanovich's statement only rekindled Meridith's jealousy and hatred. She instantly regretted her earlier kindness to Daisy and snatched the beautiful dress right back.

"Is anything.... wrong.....?" Daisy asked as. She felt Meridith's change of mood.

Meridith’s jaws tightened in anger. Yet suddenly, an evil thought snapped to her head.

God it's a crazy thought and it probably won't work. But she has to do it. It was the only thing she could do in order to prevent herself from being shamed at her sister's birthday tomorrow. She would just have to—

Snatch Daisy's mate.

It sounded crazy but it was possible. In other to do that, she will be needing something of Daisy. Be it her clothes or anything she has had contact with. Then she will cast a spell, and hope for the best.

She would simply reject the man if she doesn't like him, as long as Daisy is as mateless as she is.

This thought lingered in her head for the rest of the day. The next morning, Meridith finally had everything that she need for the spell and went to find Daisy in her room. 

When she opened the door, the sound of the running water from the bathroom told her Daisy is in shower.

"Daisy, Happy birthday! And could you please lend me your black dress?" Meridith raised her voice. She didn't wait for permission and went straight to Daisy's wardrobe. 

Few moments later, Daisy stepped out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped to cover her naked body. 

"The black dress? I plan on wearing that today, as it is the only nice dress I have," Daisy replies.

"Forget about that, let's switch dresses. I will give you a more elegant one. Your mate will find you very attractive," Meridith counseled her.

Daisy nodded with a smile. She was really looking forward to the outside world and her mate. She handed Meridith the dress without thinking twice. She didn't notice the victory smile on Meridith's lips.

Once the two girls were dressed, they were escorted to the evening's ball party. Meridith caught the eyes of several eligible men. But Diasy remained invisible, as no one wanted anything to do with a notorious Zeta wolf.

 Daisy stood in a corner, whiling off the time.

Suddenly, a wave of spark hits her and she felt the hairs of her skin standing, a chilling sensation flushing through her. She has never felt this way before, so pleasurable and so strong. She even smelled a very strong flower scent at the moment.

"He's here....my mate is here!" she muttered to Meridith in excitement.

"What's that?" Meridith asked, angrily.

"My mate....he is close, I can feel him."

Daisy widened her eyes, looking at the entrance and waiting for the man to show up.

Once he stepped his foot in, she knew it was him. He is her mate.

He was a terribly good looking man, with his dark slicked hair and a towering height. His presence screamed power. He looked like Lucifer, a dark and beautiful Lucifer.

Yet his soul was stone and dead. His eyes are steel and demonic. He has the purest blue eyes she has ever seen and the look on his face, very scary.

He doesn't even need a tag nor a crown to show the power he exuded.

He took steady steps into the ball party and suddenly looked up.

"Mate!" Everyone in the ball party heard him blurted out.

Daisy's smile brightens knowing that he is going to claim her. She stepped forward and was ready to embrace him. Finally, after so many years being alone, she will have someone who truly love her! 

But the next second, her heart dropped.

He walked right past her and headed directly towards another person. She snapped her head around, only to see him before her beloved sister.

"My mate," Meridith whispered back to the man.

Daisy can’t believe what’s happening. 

Slowly, shocking tears fell off Daisy's eyes as she witnessed her mate grip Meridith's slender waist and kissed her passionately.

"I'm glad I found you my dear mate. I've been searching for you for eight years now but I never knew you are right under my nose," the man whispered as he hugged Meridith tightly.

Meridith smiled at the handsome man before her. She is no longer mateless as she has snatched her sister's mate!.
