Chapter 41

Arianna:

I lay on the couch as I got lost in the number of thoughts that I had in my mind.

I put my hand on my stomach, gently massaging it as I smiled.

“I am happy that you’re okay, baby.” I whispered to my child. I didn’t know whether or not my child could hear me to begin with, but I knew that I was somewhat content about the fact that something went well despite everything. “I don’t know how momma would be reacting if she ever heard of this. But I know for fact that she would be supporting me through it all. You’re going to be my family, my little angelic gift.”

I had to admit, despite my voice being above a whisper, I couldn’t help but feel myself cracking as I tried to speak or mention my mother. Losing her was the biggest and worst pain that I have ever been through and no matter how much I wanted to deny it; I knew that I never could.
