But with the way things were going she will have to spend the next few days or weeks trying to reach the man who made her heart skip and left her with bruises on her neck. She loved every minute they had but she didn't want to have another one not because she didn't like to but she feared falling in love with a man she didn't know much about for the second time. The first man, Morgan Freeman, had left her broken and Andrea thought it would be wise she was careful with her heart.
She lay her hand on her chin all this while for more than 3 minutes. "What are you thinking about?" Joyce asked. "No, I am fine and not thinking about anything."
"Andrea, come on. You are not fine. I would like to help if you want me to, just that the boss had given the new regulations concerning submitting your work permit license if not I would have done otherwise with your case. I hope you understand." Joyce checked her watch. "It's about time for lunch, how about we go eat at the other cafe across the street, see if you feel any better around there? Maybe you might feel better being away from the bar."
Andrea agreed and stood to go with her, but it seemed her legs wouldn't support her and she plunged back into the chair. Joyce had turned away so Andrea tried one more time, breathing in deeply before launching herself up. She stood still for a few seconds as a wave of dizziness spilled over her, the walls spinning and mixing with the sunlight from the windows. She took two steps towards the door before her left knee decided to stop supporting her and she stumbled, leaning quickly against the wall.
"Here, sit back down," Joyce said, guiding her to the chair. Andrea slumped down, unable to say anything. Even mostly supported by the other Joyce, the few steps back to the chair were difficult. "I think you need to see a doctor."
For that Andrea was able to gain the energy to shake her head. She wouldn't are to that now. "Just need some painkillers and water. No hospital." Joyce didn't agree. But she reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a pill bottle. Andrea took it gladly and swallowed two white tablets and another bottle of water.
"How about a cool towel?" She walked out of the room before Andrea could say anything else. Andrea tried to control her breathing, hoping the room would stop spinning and that by some miracle she would stop sweating and cool down. This was so embarrassing for the first day of the week at work. She hoped they wouldn't think poorly of her. She slumped further in the chair, her eyes drifting closed.
She saw the forest and hills, in the distance a wolf howled. Andrea padded forward, hands reaching out to pluck a leaf from one of the trees.
"Andrea!" Her eyes shot open to see Joyce crouched in front of her.
This is not what she expected coming to work this morning. Her head is banging and her body temperature is abnormal. Andrea knew she would collapse if Joyce tries to make her move from where she stood, "Can you help me to the restroom I need to make use of it." Andrea asked.Joyce grinning at Andrea's current situation but had to help her to the restroom. "Just give me some minute I will be out," Andrea said as soon as she reached the restroom doorstep. "Alright, do take care of yourself I will wait for you at the reception."
Switching on the tap, Andrea let the water run through the tap at its highest frequency. She pulled her palms together into a cupped shape letting some ample liquid overwhelm her curve palm before repeatedly relieving her temperature by pouring those water over her face. After about 3minutes it seems she would be able to walk. Early her sight was blurry and her energy drained. She felt like pulling out of her corporate blue pants and whites shirt. That would mean something more serious if she had done that hence she tried as much as she can to subdue that desire.
Andrea knew this has never happened to her before, she didn't have much money but she ate a good diet and low fat. She couldn't remember the last time she had taken medication for any illness. Her health and body temperature has been stable all along, the only thing troubling her mind was the man she had met and the mark on her neck. She thought of it for some moment in the restroom but couldn't make a significant meaning out of it. If he were a vampire she should have changed right away in a few hours and not staying this long. It is over 36 hours she had the bite mark on the nape of her neck and all she felt is an increased body temperature and dizziness.
"Are you feeling better now Andrea? You have spent over an hour in here. I think it is time to go." Joyce's voice came yelling outside of the restroom. She didn't need to repeat it some more to her. Andrea was feeling much better and ready to go now. She steps out of the restroom her feet were more stable on the floor than before which convinced Joyce she was fine to some extent.
"I've got one of the interns here, Sauna, she's going to take you home." Andrea wanted to argue, but she could barely keep her eyes opened now. Instead, she just nodded.
"Good, can you walk?" Joyce asked.
She wouldnt, but even if it killed her. Something told her that Joyce would force her to go to the hospital if she couldn't make it out of the building under her power. But somehow she did, concentrating on the redheaded intern's back as she put one foot in front of the other until they made it to the parking garage and to the facility's vehicles which one was given to her.
The journey went by in a blurry path and she couldn't remember if Sauna tried to talk or if they rode in silence, but she entered her apartment and collapsed on her bed leaving all of the lights on.
Andrea tossed and turned for some time, casting off all of her sheets and then clutching them closely as a wave of cold shivers enveloped her. She desperately wished for water but didn't have
the energy to rise from the bed. After small moment darkness crashed over her and she surrendered to sleep. But even that wasn't restful. Her sorrows were beginning to emerge. The forest once more came to her vision and that howling wolf, the trees, the dirt. Everything was new, everything was so familiar. And that sizzle of awareness rushed through her. Adrian, he was here. She scent every speck of his wolf. It left that sweet scintillating flavor in her. But the forest stood empty around her. She walked on, leaves crunching under her feet. And there he stood, shirtless, his jeans hanging low on his hips he looked over the rest of the forestfrom where the hill dropped down below him. She froze in her tracks, uncertain now, and knowing that the next steps she took could change everything. Her quads were not letting her any know if it would be a good idea she ran from him when their sight meet. Doubt dominated her. But this was just a dream, wasn't it? What could a dream change? He turned around and his eyes glowed that near yellow color before settling back to brown. "What are you doing here?" Awe intert
Andrea knew the coming week will create a huge impact on her life. Especially when she knows she will be meeting a man who she doesn't know much about his identity and character but the first time they met she felt like making out eith him all night. The bound was so strong and she couldn't explain how she felt or why she felt so about him.She knew things wouldn't get better unless she gets back her license. When she was leaving home this morning age had managed t check her text and found that Joyce, her new supervisor at work has decided to give her till Tuesday to get her license filed in the office before she can resume office properly. The has host today beige she embarks on the trip to met Adrian at Berge. She does not know she the town is situated where north or south of Elkton. She just thought of using Google Maps to locate there when by tomorrow. Adrian didn't bother to put a call through to her as a reminder. She was worried he didn't even sound like he felt
Divorce. I need to run away..far away from him. " I am sick of all this," I replied, trying to sound cold while I and heating up.He raised his brow. His jaw ticked. "What is making you sick? I can change that." He stood up and stepped closer to me."Stop it. Don't come near me!" I yelled. I stood my ground even though I want to cry and tell him that I caught him cheating on me all this while he claimed he loved me. I wish I could tell him to his face, but no I have to leave him. I will tell him everything by mobile text. He would spank me if I do here. And I have had enough trouble knowing Morgan Freeman."You can't do anything about it," I told him. "I have already made my decision. And that is divorce." I made sure I had enough conviction in my words so he won't see that am wavering. He walks closer until his body was only inches apart from mine. I can hear his heavy breathing while I tried to remain calm. I squint my eyes. It wa
The night shadows were becoming more evident than when I arrived there. I looked at my mobile the network was gone. Have I lost track of my path to the Berge? I tried to dial Adrain's line and it didn't ring. Poor network area surely.Wandering into a lonely street to see if I can get a payphone to make a call at the moment. I giraffe to see a small kiosk head of me with dim lamp outside. This seems to be a different street contacted to the I had packed my car. The street is quiet and seems like it is dead. The sounds I can hear are the leaves rustling in the breeze, and the pitter-patter sounds of raindrops falling on the ground, I had lost track on my google map. I sighed."The rogues! They are coming, Run! Run! Young lady." The fretful words I heard. I ran as fast as I could. The rogues are running after me because they claimed I trespassed their territory and the truth is, I am only passing. I want to get to a man who had my license. I found myself running in a for
"Lady!.." I heard a faint voice yelling at me. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked again. I felt this person poke me making me open my eyes wide. My eyes flickered and I rose like I had seen a weird beast in front of me. I tugged on a sofa and saw a man gazing at me with a narrowed eyes. His gray eyes are staring into mine with extreme interest. And then I thought of what just happened a while ago. I escaped from the rogues and met a handsome man jogging in the middle of the forest. He is the man. Only, he is wearing a white V-neck shirt. Nevertheless, he still looks handsome. I won't deny it. it is the truth anyway. "You fainted.." He strolled. "I don't know where you live so I took you home." I bit my lower lip and tried to calm myself and to process what's happening. I fainted and he took me to his humble home..which is not humble because all I see is everything lined in gold and crystals. The wall, the table, the chandeliers ad
I pursed my lips and focused on my food. He sounded so curious about what I was doing in there and I think he deserves to know because he let me into his house but I can't. Where I came from is not something I should be broadcasting to the whole world. Besides, who will believe me?I sighed and raised my gaze towards him. He is still staring at me. He is still waiting for an answer. I bit my lips and will myself to think of a good excuse now. "I was…" I purse when I saw him. raise his eyebrow. "I was running away from someone."Jeff furrowed his eyebrow at my lie. Where is that someone now?" He asked in a low baritone.I shrugged. "I lost him I guess.." I replied before looking down at the unfinished food in front of me. I just hope he would let it go. That is the past I am running away from."It is good you lost him." He uttered. "Where are you headed off to now?"I smiled weakly, "I don't know yet. I will thin
Then I stayed behind like I just realized what he just said I stared like I am confused." What?" I asked and he stopped. He looked over his shoulder. "I look over his shoulder I can just sleep over there on the couch." I don't want to be a burden to him. He already helped me enough. After all, I will. walk in the morning and I have twenty miles to walk until I reach my destination.Jeff turned to me, " I have a lot of spare rooms. You can take anyone." He told me. "Besides you can rest better on a bed than a Bed."I didn't bother insisting on what I want. I just followed him until we reach a huge on the second floor. Looking at the ornaments and the furniture. There is no telling that Jeff is indeed a rich man. He opened a huge door. And it revealed a large bedroom with a four-poster bed. My eyes went wide open and my jaw dropped to the ground. It is a comfy room. I like the comfy bedroom because it is very unique to me and what I l
"I haven't worn them," he said. "You can ask for something else if they are too loose."I shook my head, "I'm good with this." I cut him off."I don't want to be a burden to you anymore. you have helped me enough."Jeff smirked, why looking at me intently. "You're not a burden to me and Andrea just tell me if you need anything."I smiled weakly before nodding. "Thank you, Jeff.""Good night," he saidI nodded and close the door. "Good night," I mumble to myself with a huge smile on my face.\*\*---The next morning, I woke up at 6. I have the plan to wake up earlier there's something in the softness of the bed that's made me sleep longer.I washed my clothes last night with the blow-dryer so they will dry up today. Jeff gave me an oversized shirt and I can't go out wearing them.I prepared for my long journey. Twenty miles is wha
