Everyone halts in their spot and they all looked at me, and then at Brock. I stared at him wide-eyed, but his attention was not focused on me, but rather, Syria.

Syria is too afraid to look up and she just stares down at her hands, her whole body trembling in fear. Brock has his eyes pinned on her. I can feel his heart beating erratically like it will explode any moment. Slowly, he walks toward Syria.

Jared growled lowly but lets him pass and I push Hunter to the side gently. He gives me a worried look so I mindlinked him.

‘It’s okay, she’s not dangerous.’ I tell him and he furrowed his brows but nods.

I looked over to Syria’s direction. ‘She’s a shifter, a dragon shifter,’ I finish my words and Hunter grabbed my arm and looked me in the eye.

‘Are you certain?’ He asked through mindlink.

I nodded in reply and he let go of my arm, glancing at the woman named Syria.

‘How?’ He asked.

‘I’ll explain later. In the meantime, let’s watch the reunion of two old friends,’ I smiled at Hunter
