I watched her reaction carefully as I told her. I needed to know if she had known all along, if she was hiding it. The amount of power she had, she had to know. But judging from her reaction, she was either a very good actor or she truly didn’t know. Her eyes widened as I said it, and her breathing increased. In fact, she looked like she was about to go into a panic attack.

(Kaeleigh’s POV)Family breakfast was in the private dining room for the Alpha on the same floor. The whole floor was set aside for the Alpha and his family, including a few guest rooms designed for visiting Alphas.I dragged my heels a little as we walked round the halls into the main living area, which consisted of a large living room, dining room and den.
