Chapter 7

I quickly finished up my dinner and started making my way back to my room, I felt completely tired and drained. I needed to get some rest. Suddenly, a masculine scent mixed with forest breeze hits me hard. It was intoxicating my entire senses, setting me in a high.

'Mate!' my wolf sang happily. She really didn't mind that our mate was in fact the Alpha of rogues, after all I wasn't one to be judge, I could be called a rogue too.

Maybe I should give him a chance.

The scent was coming from the last room along the hall way. As if my feets had a mind of their own I raced towards the scent. I entered the room to see Kaden sitting behind a messy desk.

"Ava," he calls standing up. I could see a familiar look of the affection he showed me the night we mated but soon it faded into an unreadable stare. It was replaced with hate.

"Kole told me you weren't around." I say with a smile, all he reciprocated it with was a cold stare.

"I only came back just now. What do you want?" He answere
