The search for the cure had been ongoing for quite a few days now, and nothing had come forth from it. His arm had been weaker of late, and he had come to find that he could not even lift it to put food in his mouth. He was always tired, and none of the fixes they had been bringing his way had even made a dent in his well being. The one they brought last had tasted a little too much like swamp, and he hated it, but he had drank it, only for it to have no effect on his health.

The person who brought it had said it came from the best healer in the next pack over, and it had come with a note that read:

“made from the best rosemary, foxtrot, and foxglove.”

And when he read that, desperate for healing, he had downed the entire bottle as per the instructions. His sister, Caroline had been sitting in the room when he downed the bottle, and when he twisted up his face, she had burst out laughing.
