Getting Drunk

Serenity grabbed the glass in front of her and dunked it down. The burning sensation that travelled down her throat invigorated her. Serenity wasn't the one to usually indulge in alcoholic drinks, but once in a while, she craved the thrill.

From the corner of her eyes, she spotted the frown sitting on the Alpha's face. The environment of the bar— the loud music, flashing lights, and bodies crowding the area— did not settle well with him.

Also, regret started to form within him for complying along with Serenity.

"Aren't you drinking?" Serenity asked.

"I would rather remain sober," Kieran vocalized.

Although Kieran didn't totally abstain from drinking, however, he preferred to maintain a clear state of mind. Being intoxicated did not suit his preference as it would lead to mistakes being made.

And the bar was an unfamiliar environment for him with everyone around being strangers. He remained on alert, observing his surroundings in case something went wrong.
