It was then when he turned the light switch on, that I acknowledged what an idiot and desperate I was to quickly assume his kid would be a child.

“Excuse me?” he groaned sleepily,

I was able to see a grown-ass man, shirtless with tattoos and black long puffy hair, rubbing his eyes and complaining in just plain gray shorts.

“I---,” I stammered, shaking my head and looking away from him in shock.

What the heck?

“What are you doing in our room? wait! You are that prisoner girl who killed Tanner?” he finally stopped torturing his eyes and deepened his stare at me to see me clearly. He had emerald green eyes, suiting his thick black hair and pale skin.

“I did not kill him and neither am I a prisoner,” I voiced, placing hands on my waist and giving him the same quizzical look.

“Do you ever quit talking? I heard you argue with air too,” he rolled his eyes at me.

“If you speak to me, I will answer you back,” I used the same commanding voice that I use whenever somebody is near to piss me off.
