Chapter 5: You Crazy?!

Theodore POV

I don't know why Roxanne wasn't afraid of me, she could even say something like asking me to be her fiancé.

I was so surprised that I almost threw her out of my arms, but if I think about it I'm also curious why she came that morning with puffy red eyes.

Does this request of hers have anything to do with it?

"Give me a reason why I should accept your request," I replied waiting for what Roxanne would say to me.

"I want to get away from this pack. The only way to do so is to marry someone from outside the pack," Roxanne explained, still looking at me.

"Aren't you already engaged to the future Alpha of the Nightmare Night pack?" I remember my beta saying something like this.

I unexpectedly saw Roxanne grimace, like she didn't want to answer that question.

"If you want me to be your fiance, don't I need to know about this?" I asked while squinting my eyes, trying to scare her into answering my question.

I could see Roxanne shudder in horror when she heard my words, and she quickly nodded her head obediently.

"Alright, I'll tell you about it!" Roxanne glanced at me timidly.

After that I listened to Roxanne's story about what really happened and as I expected before Roxanne cried this morning because of this.

"So, can you consider my offer?" Roxanne said then.

I slowly let go of Roxanne who was in my arms and tapped her forehead quite hard.

"This matter is not an easy one for me either. You should be grateful that I didn't kill you immediately after what you said," I explained to her.

"Yes, you're right. I'm sorry, Alpha." Roxanne bowed her head, looking very sad at the moment.

I turned around to return to the place prepared for me and let Roxanne go.

I unexpectedly felt quite lost after Roxanne left, I also didn't know why I felt a strange feeling every time I met her.

There was something I had to do in this pack before finishing this visit, so I called out to my beta to do something.

"Find out what the Alpha family did to their eldest daughter Roxanne. Report to me tomorrow!" Then, I waved my hand to shoo him away.

I knew from one glance that the treatment Roxanne received here was very different, that's why she said she wanted to leave this pack.

"I have to know the reason before deciding on her request." Honestly, I was still thinking about Roxanne's previous request.

. . .

Roxanne POV

It feels like my feelings right now are much more miserable than when I found out Luke cheated on me.

"Shouldn't I be scared instead of sad like this?" I myself was confused by what I felt when I was with Theodore.

"I know that it doesn't make sense for him to agree to my request," I continued while ruffling my hair in annoyance.

It looks like I now have to find another way to escape from this pack. I now knew that I didn't deserve the kind of mistreatment I had endured for the past 18 years.

However, given that I hadn't gotten my wolf yet, I had to stay in the pack for their protection.

"Or I could go to a town with humans?" For a moment I thought about this possibility.

But, I immediately shook my head. Father and the others would surely drag me back to the pack and lock me up so I couldn't escape again.

Indeed, the only way to escape was to marry another pack member, or it would be easier if I found my mate.

However, it was impossible to find a mate without the help of my wolf which I hadn't gotten until now. I sighed clearly, at least I should go back now and prepare for work tomorrow.

. . .

The next day when I was about to get ready to go back to work together with the omegas, I noticed a noise from the pack square.

But, I didn't care much about it and continued my steps to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the others.

Surprisingly, there was no one in the kitchen when I got there, even though there were usually many omegas preparing in the kitchen. I was confused as to where they had all gone this time.

Then, I was surprised by the arrival of a warrior who asked me to come to the square right now. At first I was confused but I still did what the warrior said.

When I arrived at the pack square, everyone had gathered there, even my father was there. I also saw Theodore there standing before everyone like a true ruler.

I quickly entered the crowd to listen to what Theodore had to say to them.

"I actually didn't expect to find something disgusting like this in your pack, Gilbert." Theodore said coldly.

"What exactly do you mean, Alpha?" Gilbert was seen kneeling before Theodore in fear.

"Your daughter with Cecilia."

I was shocked when I heard Theodore say my mother's name, how did he know my mother's name?

Gilbert's face also looked pale when he heard Theodore mention his late wife's name.

"Looking at your face, it looks like you already know what you're doing." Theodore smirked, then walked up behind Gilbert and stomped on his back until his head was on the ground.

The pack members who witnessed this held their breath in fear, with their bodies trembling they asked Theodore for forgiveness.

Theodore indifferently withdrew his foot and let Gilbert return to his kneeling position.

"I'll take her back with me," Theodore said then, he had already decided to take Roxanne with him.

Gilbert looked wide-eyed in shock, "No! You can't take her, Alpha!" Gilbert replied against Theodore's decision.

"She is my daughter after all, how can you take her away from me!" Gritting his teeth Gilbert didn't want to give Roxanne to Theodore, the secret he was hiding could be revealed if Roxanne left the pack.

Theodore slowly approached and pulled Gilbert's hair back so he could look at him.

"You don't have a voice here, Gilbert. I've already decided that I'm going to take her and your pack away for six months for all you've done." Theodore angrily threw Gilbert who was in his hands.

It seemed that Gilbert had to fly until he hit a building wall.

I, who saw the whole incident, could only remain silent and shed my tears, I didn't expect that of all the people who would help me was Theodore.

Coincidentally, my eyes met his, and I looked at him with a smile as a sign of my gratitude to him.
