Chapter 18: Luna's Gamma

Amarantha's POV

I woke up to the commotion surrounding me. It was inaudible but I could sense that there were men arguing in front of me.

I adjusted my sight and squinted a little as the sunlight hit my face. I groaned and held my temple. "Aw, my head!" I protested to myself.

Then, I saw another guy. I didn't recall knowing him but his face seemed familiar. He must be one of the council members. His face showed worry. When I looked at him intently, he just smiled in relief. "Thank goodness you're awake! How are you feeling, Luna?" he had asked me.

I arched my brow at him. I was still scanning the whole place. I was inside Iram's chamber. When I wandered my eyes, I couldn't find him. It was only me and another guy. I was still busy massaging my temples. "Where's everybody? Who were you talking to?"

"Oh, I think you just heard the Alpha King earlier. Should I call him for you?" He was about to leave the room but I stopped him.
