Chapter 8: "I Need You"

"I need you..."

Those words were very rare to people like me. It is rare to a point that I didn't even remember the first time I ever heard of that phrase.

I was totally dumbfounded. This Alpha King whom I hated the most ever since this war broke out turned out to be someone who needed me. I was now considered his lifeline.

No one has ever thought of me as their last straw of hope. I never once thought that I'm capable of having a life purpose. I only thought that surviving was the most important; surviving and defeating the werewolves. Then, after that, I didn't know what exactly I needed. I just wanted to get a normal life that was taken away from me. But that sense of purpose hadn't even sparked in my life. It felt like I was just striving hard to do something that I don't have a purpose for. And yet here I am being dragged into this mess that quite shook me into realizing that this was it.
